Forgot to mention in my original post that this works well with Shiny Vault Suit. This mod has the textures (which for some reason folk today insist on unhelpfully calling "diffuse maps") and the other mod is a shine map ("speculars"). They are both based on vanilla, so lines match.
Yes, I know folks say "but a normal is different, it does more than a bump map!" - no, it's just a newer generation bump map. Still does same job - i.e. gives impression of 3D/bumps - it's just when they improved it they gave it a gobbledygook name. And ditto for the others.
Note glow maps are still called glow maps - not sure if it's because they aren't used as much or gobbledyfools can't spell incandescence. Ok, old man rant over. Thanks for reading.
Well, I like the shine but in addition to (of course) being a matter of taste, it may also depend on weather & lighting mods/settings etc. But no worries, and thanks for the link - btw, just remembered I'm also using this mod (and the aforementioned Shiny one) with Vault Booty (I use the topmost "boobish" file which is described as a "very tasteful" option - and it is, shapely rather than silly/porn).
Once again, modder content outshines Bethesda's efforts. Combine this with the dark vault textures and you've finally got something respectable and non Disney cartoonish.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw this jumpsuit. I think the only difference is the knees aren't darker like they are in 76, otherwise it's literally the same.
They are 2k - replying to this old question in case anyone else is wondering.
However, folks, please note there's (currently) completely unnecessary foul language in the readme.txt that would be very inappropriate for children. That minor irritation aside, this subtle near-vanilla retexture is indeed very good, and I for one wholely endorse it. Thanks.

2020s gobbledygooks - diffuse maps, speculars, normals.
