Hey, this looks great, but where do I put the .json file to be able to use this blueprint in game?

Thanks! Easiest way is to use the mod "Transfer Settlements". I have only exported so far, but it has an import feature as well. I assume it goes in the below folder, (if you have not altered default install path for your game), is:

      C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\F4SE\Plugins\TransferSettlements\blueprints

Careful not to use a folder that already exists. 12 and 30 were already there for my folder. When i exported my first Blueprint, and chose slot "1" in the "Transfer Settlements" mod in my Pip-boy, it created folder "1". Then for my second Blue print I chose slot 2, and it created folder "2". So I assume continue like that. I will attempt an Import soon to verify it works this way.

In the meantime, if anyone with more experience in importing Blueprints wants to help this fellow gamer out, that would be great. Whether it is using above Mod or if there is a manual way to do it. Either way, we would both be very grateful!

Wait until you guys see my "Abernathy Farm" build. It is the Settlement that allows the tallest build. I assume because of the large Hydro Tower there.

Hi good day, the json file is in the "blueprint" folder however in-game in says no blueprint to import. Tried to create another folder still says no BP to import.

    Good day.

Newbie to FO4 here and I'm having fun with this settlements feature of the game but I'm so lazy to build bigger ones. I've built smaller settlements but I've decided to copy others' settlements then I found this site for copying it and build it to my saves. I just want to know where to install this files(requirements for transfer settlements) to my PC to make it work?

Thanks for your hard work. I'll appreciate your response at your most convenient time.

Would like to use this but need clarification:  This does not need Transfer Settlements?
I thought the only way to import a blueprint layout was with TS, hope I'm wrong.

      Hello,

Sorry for the late reply. Version 1 did need Transfer Settlements mod, and you needed to know where to put the json* file too. Version 1.1 I had an expert Modder show me how to make it so that the file is deployed to  where it is supposed to. I believe Transfer Settlement Mods is still required, but this blue print will now show up in your Transfer Settlements blueprint tab. I implemented it for all 3 of my mods. I have not tried to see if it will work without Transfer Settlements installed, but if you are brave enough to try this, let me know the result please.

      Thanks

    Hi,

Am I going to have to add wiring for radiant power? Most of the lights are not lit, and in general its pretty dark.

If so, that's fine, I just want to make sure I didn't mess up the import.

    Thanks

      Hello,

Sorry for late reply. Yes I sometimes have to redo the wiring. I do not know why. Also, the brighter lights mod helps too, as it is rather dark without.

      Thanks

I don't know if your still on Nexus or even still active, but i took your file and repackaged it so that MO2 and other mod manager users can use it. i'm getting error 502 trying to PM you with a link so i will drop it here for you. i make mods for Skyrim LE, my files are reputable and i'm a verified mod author, scan my file for viruses if you like, they will always be clean. also... so that no asset theft is accused, i've uploaded it to mega and not to nexus, i don't own the mod, you do, its your responsibility and/or choice if you would like to upload it or not. I also kept the blueprint as slot 1. i've made no changes to the mod itself only to the file structure.

Thank you! Yes, that is very cool you did that. I appreciate it. I was off of here for awhile, but I am back. I made it to share. The more the merrier.

      Thanks

So, I've got well over a thousand hours into Fallout 4 but in all that time I never built up Vault 88 because doing so from complete scratch just seemed like a giant pain in the arse and I couldn't find a settlement build that wasn't already entirely assembled. Yours proved to be the thing that gave me the push to finally complete the DLC and build the vault. This settlement worked amazingly and now my Vault 88 is incredible.

Thank you so much for releasing this. It definitely deserves far more recognition than it has.

Thank you so much for the kind post. I put it on here as a notable mod maker on here said my pics of my settlements in Steam were impressive. So it motivated me to Blueprint them and share. I only regret waiting so long. If there is anyone out there that wants to cover it in their YT videos about cool settlements, feel free to use with no obligation. Yours and others below make it worth my while alone!

Thank you for the reply. A question for you, would you be interested in having those of us who've used your blueprint take some screenshots and show off what we've achieved with your blueprint? I don't want to spam the image list if it wouldn't be something you'd be interested in.

Will I be able to change some things ingame, like some of the walls into doors, remove windowed walls for normal walls, delete some corridors, etc. ?

also another question, what if I have a half-completed vault88 set up, will I have to delete everything?

You can change whatever you like in Workshop mode. It was built with all vanilla game and the DLC's listed. Unfortunately I don't think it works with a half built vault. But I think if you have "Transfer Settlements" or a similar mod, they usually have a feature to blow everything away for you. I think i have 3 mods in total loaded now that does this for me, as now I am to lazy to do everything manually like I did back then.

Looks really good! Testing it, for sure.
Is there anything I have to scrap except the usual stuff?

Nope. Just the usual. I personally use "Raze it", pickups all the junk and scraps it into your workshop for you. Then you can load this Blueprint after. Although just loading the BP may do it for you. I wish I had Raze it back when I built all these. It took me forever to scrap every piece of junk manually. Oh well.
