Espionage has it's benefits, huh? Anyways, here's the confirmation message of the "leaked" details about the suit.

We recieved the message. Nice work, especially since this project was highly classified, as far as the information you gave us, we have a plan. We're thinking about releasing the details for a price to their competitors while secretly stabbing them in the back by leaking it to the public (if they even CARE in the first place). Maybe we'll blackmail the CEO himself for a price, hmm?
However, we need to pull you out. Your handler is already compromised; DOE investigators have collaborated with RepConn and the FBI, a raid by the joint task force occured at the safe-house where the handler was laying low. We can't do anything about him for now, but we can get you out. You'll see the details in the package this letter came in. Make sure YOU'RE NOT FOLLOWED.

"So as you can see before the Great War, the nuclear age of technology started getting more and more vast. As the nuclear technology grew, so did the demand for nuclear protection equipment. The United States Department of Energy had put in a request for their lucrative contractors; RepConn, Posideon Energy, RobCo, and Mass Fusion. They would award a contract for Hazardous Enviromental PPE (personal protection equipment) for a lucrative classified industrial project involving hazardous environments, especially dealing with nuclear radiation, as Power Armor costs at the time were expensive and most of the funding went to the military anyways. RepConn, ended up winning the contract for their suit, as it was lightweight and well-suited in all sorts of environments, from severely irradiated areas to extreme temperatures. However, before they could send out their prototypes for the DOE, the bombs fell on America and the prototypes were lost in atomic fire.However, recently, the Brotherhood of Steel have found the blueprints for the suit, and handed it off to Teagan and the research team."
Thanks to the efforts of Agent Damage and his team before the Great War, this piece of experimental technology is available for our use in the Commonwealth. It just needs to be made in your settlements, crafted at the Chemistry Station
