Serious issue I have with this is that it if I have it installed and am using an alternate start mod the game freezes while loading my alternate start. I get through character creation. got to the part where I am choosing my starting stats and location. then as it is loading it freezes. any ideas why?
I can confirm, as version 1.9 (High Res Patch), this does indeed work. However it won't just work through the Nexus Mod Manager. The archive contains each of the separate ESP's. Easiest way to get this working in NMM (because it is not scripted for auto-install, there is no pop-up option to pick which ESP you want) is to download the mod separately outside of the Manager. Open up the archive with 7zip, and extract the one version you want to use. I then created a 7zip archive of that single ESP. Inside the NMM, click on the drop box arrow next to the green plus symbol, which will allow you to add a mod from a file. Navigate to your new single ESP 7zip archive, and select it. It'll get added to your mod list, and can be found under 'Unassigned' if using the default NMM sorting options.
But yeah, totally works as of Version 1.9, provided you take a few extra steps. I used the Pretty Special ESP, and had 42 points to distribute. I went with that one as 49 points (1 in all SPECIAL +42 to allocate) allows for the same point distribution as taking both Gifted and Bruiser character traits in Fallout 2.
How can I choose any of the .esp files when the Fallout 4 Nexus Mod Manager doesnt allow to enable or disable them. There's no option for that. When modding skyrim, there is that option ( maybe, havent played the game for years ) but for fallout 4, there's not.
And just to add: One possibility to choose wanted .esp file would be deleting the other choices from the .rar file, but this cant be done because the "delete" option is disabled.
You should've included multiple downloadable files here on this site.

For the record, did a correct install and setup, you simply get the default points every time.
