If I remember correctly you can use the Smoke Visibility Options in the optionals files of this mod with no problem https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25114?tab=files
Hello, great mod, this seems to be a little better than spitfire, performance wise, tho i have a question. How do you get the black smoke effect as shown in your description video? Mine's just a very visible white smoke even at night and its slightly off-putting. Any advice?
Lol. don't worry, i was just reporting the issue but since i didn't know if it was me or the mod i didn't wanted to post as bug report mostly happens with auto rifles, and its most noticeable on interiors like homeplate, the nucleus, bunkers and such.
the new update is amazing, the shotgun change was very welcome, you fixed the rifle ambiance light issue, but the smoke was the only issue it becomes blinding sometimes, is there anyway i can tone it down, or remove it, don't know maybe give options to choose because while i may like smokeless powder maybe others don't, or if it's to much bother, or in case you don't see any reason, how can i remove or edit it myself?
If you want the original smoke you have to unzip bsa main file and delete the meshes that have "smoke" in their name, they are 3 and also delete the textures bsa file or you can use the smoke of this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25114?tab=files just download the optional file of smoke visibility option and choose, it is not exactly the same as the smoke of this mod but it is similar since I used it as a base.
Okay, I've been playing with this mod a lot and I gotta say, it's hands down the best muzzle flash mod yet. There's no mucking about, it just works on any weapon that uses the vanilla assets - which appears to be pretty much all of them! Brilliant - well done! I'll be using this mod from now on.
I do have a couple of questions about muzzle flash in general. The shotgun muzzle flash seems a little weedy compared to the rifles and pistols. Is that realistic? I genuinely don't know so I'm asking :-P. Also, I've noticed that weapons with silencers are totally flash free. Is that realistic? Again, I'm only asking so someone can enlighten me.
Just a thought: Any chance of doing the laser and plasma flashes too?
Don't quote me on this but i think most of the purpose behind a suppressor (They are NOT silencers) is to remove muzzle flash. They reduce sound to a certain degree but you have to remember, even if you made the bullet explosion completely silent, there is still a lot of metal moving parts slamming together.
ATM, I'm messing around with this mod combined with Hollywood Bullet Tracers, a golden oldie - Dynamic Muzzle Shadows - and Extreme Particles Overhaul 3.0. It's bonkers - I can't see fkin thing while I'm blasting away, hehe. Looks cool though :-D
I just saw your comment and never heard of these mods and tried them out. I am surprised at how I missed these. Cheers on the initiative to post the names of the mods m8
Assuming this won't work with modded weapons? Very nice touch as i'm trying to add alot of small mods like this to make combat a lil more modern. Very much appreciated!

the white smoke is a little intense though, is it possible to request a toned down version by any chance?

im not fond of enb, does ENBoost cause the same effect?
just download the optional file of smoke visibility option and choose, it is not exactly the same as the smoke of this mod but it is similar since I used it as a base.
