I wish Cait had a Russian accent.

Find a Russian gal who will record ~512 lines of dialogue, and I will happily make that mod pack.

Damn it would have been sick, our mutant female Zangief!

To be honest it wouldn't be that "hard" to voice Cait with a Russian accent, and to tweak some line to fit a super mutant FEV background.
      Using AI elevenlabs.

Can never fix a terribly put together voice from a voice actor that should never have been doing this part in the first place. But I'm glad this is here to smooth it out.

Thank you very much! I was tempted to re-voice all of her lines myself... But it didn't sound very good. My Irish accent is terrabad. SO I did the next best thing.

Meep, I finally got around to another playthrough, and I'm using your original rugged-voice version along with the Cait at half super mutant mod we discussed earlier.

    And, dammit, I'm loving it!

Many thanks for finding a new way to experience this companion.

I haven't got F4 installed at the moment but I have to say, this is great. I've never been the kinda guy to install all those "Sexy" mods to make my game into some sort of softcore porn sim rather than an actual videogame so I appreciate when mods come out that actually cater to making a grittier world. The lower pitch makes her sound much less enthusiastic and upbeat. After all that drug use and yelling in a literal cage fight of course her voice is gonna be more ragged and worn out.

All in all, a fantastic change, great job

I don't think this mod is for the ones who like to roam the wasteland wearing high heels and a combat-armor g-string.

Me, I like what you did here. She's a seasoned veteran cagefighter ffs, and any steps taken toward making her sound and look the part, is endorsed.

I've added a version that's slightly higher pitched, you may like it better or worse. Thanks for appreciating my work :3

I like both. I think the second one's more suited to her after Vault 95, as the Cleansing very possibly undid some of the throat/voicebox effects of all that Psycho.

Yeeeah maybe attempts at snarky comments from people who populate their wasteland with a weird breed of mutants that all rock triple-k cup size aren't to be taken too seriously.

I figure there will be more tweaking on the finer nuances of this mod as time goes on, but yeah, I like the idea of giving her a somewhat more gruff voice, though the LOOKS bothered me the most with her. Vanilla Cait is this tiny little creature with arms like twigs, and no scars... Like, ummmm come again? (Actually made a preset of her and put it up here ages ago.)

Anyway, keep up the good work, and kudos for taking the time.

I get where you're coming from, cyberzerk, but at least now someone with the patience for it can roleplay out a post-95 vocal shift. That counts for something, and maybe one day we'll know what! LOL

Meep, please ignore the idiots. What you've produced is very much still a recognisably female voice, just pitched lower.

Now, I don't know about it being suitable, or otherwise, for the the "big lizard woman", but I reckon it's a dead match for "Cait as Female Half Super Mutant" (https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25162). Now that's a combination I really want to try out.

I know, my mom sounds similar to this if you drop the accent, but thank you for the kind words. :3

And you are correct! It's much better for her if you use the super mutant replaced. I'm going to try and make a few more versions of this. A slightly higher pitched one (for those who apparently only hear girl's voices via anime, or just dont like lower female voices), another version of this voice which has that Mass Effect Turian "twang" to try and better match a non-human reptilian, and maybe one that's scratchy (she did do a LOT of drugs. Heavy smokers usually don't sound, well, like their lungs and throat are undamaged.)

there's a couple ways to make it "scratchy" too. Raise the pitch without changing tempo, then drop it back down again This stretches the lows rather than just changing them. Use Audacity and MultXWM + Unfuzzer.

Another suggestion is to add a flanging effect like the Turians from Mass effect, because we really, truly don't know what a talking deathclaw sounds like. Goris from Fallout 2 was the closest thing but there was no voice.

To do flanging, create a second stereo track in Audacity, copy the original to it, then do a high pass filter or low pass filter on that layer only depending on if you want high flange or low flange.

Hey, that's not a bad idea for a version of this specifically for the deathclaw replacer mod! That said, I think this version is a good voice for her in general. It sounds more tough, more world weary. More like a former chem junkie. I never thought that her canon voice fit her character, you know?

I might add some scratchiness, but it takes me about 80 minutes of work to modify each of her dialogue lines since Audacity's macros function liked to crash if I did more than 20 at a time. If you have any idea what's up with that I'd love to hear it. I'd be interested in doing some tinkering with voices for other mods (I'm using an i7 3770k, got 24 gigs of ram to spare at any given time, and a 980Ti, so it's not like it's my hardware having problems handling the workload.)

I'm using a fairly old version of Audacity too. Apparently in 2018 they replaced Chains with Macros. Add me on steam, I already helped a few people with mods here and I can send you a link to my old version of Audacity.

I'm not sure how to copy a stereo track and do a high pass filter with chains because I don't use it all that often. Add me on steam, communication will be easier and I can help you more directly.
