Did you also increase the speed of monsters? I went to tweak this to my liking in xedit and there are dozens of entries in the "movement type" category which seemingly have nothing to do with the player character.
This is a great mod and I think the adjustments are pretty logical. However, I only play in VR and the sprint speed at +35% is so fast that the screen stutters and gives me motion sickness. π€£ I was also a little surprised that many of the creatures I was hoping to be able to run away from in an emergency (in survival mode) have exactly the same sprint boost. π±
So my solution was to edit the .esp in xEdit and reduce the 12 player related sprint settings to 20% faster (600) and reset all of the creature sprint speeds back to their vanilla defaults. Would be great if you could release an optional version for VR players with the slightly reduced speed, for those who are not confident in editing plugins with xEdit. π
Exactly what I said all the time, too what you described... Typical "Game mechanic". Always good there are people out there who would think a bit more logical (especially than bethesda ΓΆ.Γ ) Just sad it doesn't work in 3d person, too. But I guess it's okay since 1st person is the better way to go anyway.
- The next thing would be great if there is a mod existing which giving the V.A.T.S a seperate bar and not simply using stamina. Of all why is stamina used up for it? Is it that ridicolous exhausting to use bassically a compute system for you to aim?! Yea doesn't make sense right. xD
Anyway, until I got enough armor and being high level to not necessarily need VATS anymore, if you're gonna use a big gun which is using up your whole stamina on one shot you can't run or jump right now, and that especially in survival mode is super annoying. Or the other side around, too: you running around and suddenly meet an enemy, you can't use vats afterwards for no reason... It's bassically just a sneaking option in this case.
Just trying "Longer Sprint duration only. No speed increase. Only download 1." Even tho it says on the tin "sprint duration" would I be correct that it does just that, not change the duration of AP during combat etc...?

I appreciate the intention with the boost in speeds to Radstags and Supermutants and Deathclaws, but the player's boosts aren't realistic. If anything, instead of decreasing the APdrain by 5 (from 12 to 7) it should be increased by 5 (from 12 to 17). 400m sprinters never even reach their top speeds. Even in the final stretch of 100m, they've exhausted themselves so much that their maximum effort isn't close to their top speed.
Check out Wayde van Niekerk's (400m WR holder) 400m of 43.03s, and compare his final 100m to his 100m's personal best of 9.94s. And even in 100m events, sprinters maintain their top speeds for 5 seconds at their best. Usain Bolt's 9.58s WR had him sprinting at top speed for 3-4 seconds.
And this is all without mentioning the carried weight factor in the game. Rarely do we carry less than 10lbs of gear. On survival mode, even with a light loadout with basic clothes with no heavy or even medium armor, and one pistol and one rifle, my character hauls around ~90lbs of gear. Never mind players on survival equipped with Fat Mans and Miniguns.
Actually if you are really start looking 400m split times you find there Merritt running split from 100-200m at time 9.6s. But yeah i agree you cant run maxium speed more that few seconds, even tho top atheletics still running really fast even when not running at full speed.
@rude4ier, Dude do you even run in real life? I am an ordinary guy and i still run much more longer, faster than the character from the game. There is no need to increase the APdrain, if more, it should decrease from 7 to 6 and more importantly the sprinting should be fun and not annoying.
While i like that you can run faster longer timer but not on infinity time. I still end up installing this because i dont like that added running speed, on many cases i wound myself raither walking than running because running was too fast.
What if you got just a pistol on you? It's the same speed. Also were you able to carry 20 rifles your back and two thousand syringes when you were in the army? Oh wait this isn't real life, we just want to enjoy the game without stupid limitations.

-Speed increase only works in 1st person and there's no way to fix it for 3rd person.
