I like the content in this mod and kudos NovaCoru.
Using Fo4edit I found multiple errors in the mod. The problem was somewhere in the fences and barricades sections of the mod initially. There were more than 20 errors and even after removing all the initial problematic entries more appeared. Removing the BoS allowed me to actually open the fences and barricades, use fences but would still crash after settlement placement of "working" items and would crash browsing through platforms or barricades.
The patch available here did not work for me neither did removing the broken workshop items. Can anyone tell me how to pull certain resources from the mod to use as loose files, ie concrete walls?
Doesn't work. I downloaded it, placed down three BOS barricades as a test and instantly CTD. I wish more than anything I could just get this freaking mod to work so I can build my dang settlements!
From Homemaker mod: Thanks VansenBon123, worked for me too. it's realy easy. Dowloand f04edit, install it and run after. Searching for homemaker in filter and double click on it. After this you must click on "+" on the left of Homemaker.esm and find Keyword one more click on + and find WorkshopRecipeFilterBuilding02Fences03BoS (first in the list in my case) right click for it and remove - yes
I tried this mod, but it only made the CTD appear even faster! Oo before installing i could at least look into the category of BOS fences, but now it already crashes when hovering over it. Your mod....honestly... only made it worse ^^....
Must be something on your end as the CTD Fix does exactly as advertised for me. Make sure you have the following in Fallout4Custom.ini in your save directory if it's not already:
[Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
Obviously this is so the game engine will actually load the loose edited nif instead of the broken nif in the Homemaker - Main.ba2 file.
On a clean install Fo4 1.10.163 this fix works perfectly, zoom past and in/out of the Homemaker BOS fences catagory repeatedly without any issues at all. Basically the mod is a simple edited mesh nif model and nothing more. You can check the edited mesh yourself in Elrich (found in \Fallout 4\Tools\Elric\Elrich.exe for optimizing nif models as part of the base game), Nifskope and CK. There is no way that this CTD Fix is causing your crash to be worse unless you have something else going on or interfering.

Sweeeet,thx man,i hope this works as intended,now in may case is not as serious as in other ppl's,i read some posts about the game CTD-ing nonstop,in my case it happens once in a while and only when i go to the fences tab,sometimes i can go to the tab no probs sometimems i can't,and i am afraid of putting any fences simply cuz i don't want the game to crash on me,so i doubt i will ever use those fences,but this mod may give me some piece of mind,and who knows after a long testing session of entering and exiting the fences tab if i know for sure it won't crash i may just use those instead of the junk fences of vanilla,anyway even tho is not as serious as in other case i still don't like CTD simply for being in the settlment menu,i by mistake may go into the fence instead of idk food category and it CTD without me saving,this can put my mind at ease XD so thx
OMG Thank you so much! I've been going crazy trying to figure out what the deal was. Thinking it was something to do with HM and SKE. Your awesome for finding the problem and putting the fix out here for the rest of us less tech savvy gamers.
