Impressive and exciting combat style Isclon, but, I can barely keep up with the drain on stimpacks for Companions as it is.....with what you know of the combat AI in developing your mod, how difficult would it be to make a combat style that focuses on taking cover and concealment, backing off from enemies, disengaging rather than rushing into cross-fire, retreating from melee? (I love the Companions, I dread the "Heal your companion" pop up...especially early game when I'm struggling to build a supply of stims).
All companions have their own fighting style and most of them use shelters. If I understood you correctly, then you would like your partners to actively seek shelter. Do not engage in close combat.
P.S. Sorry for my English. I'm translating Google.
I've had knife fighter mods but they had the HP and mitigation to survive once given decent armor. I'm talking about Hard or Survival difficulty. Heather Casdin does well enough, takes cover, knows when to move forward. I keep her in Enhanced Sneak mode so she doesn't hardly ever need a stimpak. The problem comes with companions who charge in after switching to melee weapons who don't have the HP/resistances to survive against legendary enemies using 1k damage weapons. Making them armor with workbench legendary attachments helps a lot, but still, if the HP and innate resistances aren't high enough, they have a hard time.
