Does this mod require Far Harbor to still be populated with it's default citizens in order to work fully? I installed it on my current game in which I wiped out Far Harbor by deactivating the wind turbines. When hovering over the map icon for the town, it does not show a population number or a happiness %, and the recruitment beacon I built does not seem to call in new people. The functionality of the workstation does seem to work in as far as I can build stuff.
On the map the town is now called Far Harbor Ruins, I wonder if maybe that is effecting it somehow.
I wiped out Far Harbor and moved the fast travel point from the ruins on to Far Harbor. "Far Harbor ruins" appears on the map, but "Far Harbor" appears in the PIP-Boy. The settlement works fine with Horizon 1.8.7, recruiting settlers works too, but I only recruit Children of the Atom as settlers.
@kahv just a lil tip, you can give the useless npc's the npcworkshop script, you need to make sure the options are set right, that way you can use them as settlers, even the kids
in build mode select them, send them to harbor and put them to work
Can you do Cliff Edge Hotel? Just enable as settlement. I ask because Conquest for some reason dont work properly in that place. Not sure if because I have vault 118.
You know, I never did understand why this wasn't a settlement at all. I mean nothing really in FH if made into a settlement would ruin any quests if Bethesda did make it a settlement, cause all they had to do was make sure the NPC's that need to be there cant be commanded at all. nor the stuff that shouldn't be scrapped(like certain walls that are needed for quests to look right) are not scrap-able or movable like the workshop itself. Simple toggles. Then can make it into a settlement, or least a relay point for my SupplyLines, then from the FH port to the CW, makes it so much easier for an anal person like me who wants it all clean and such.
So thank you so much for this, I do appreciate it.
Hi, your mod is very cool! I have always dreamed of having a settlement in Far-Harbor, and my dream has come true! Would you try to make Acadia a settlement?
How big of an area are we talking about ? If you start sending settlers here, it's going to get crowded really quick. I was thinking also about necessities, like beds and being able to grow food
It's got a large build area. I made sure to encircle the entire perimeter of the dock and extra amount of area as well. But it only goes out to about where the fog condensers are in the front of the settlement. But extends over the water in all other directions.
I had to use the cheat terminal to clear the weather to take the screens I did, and it got crappy again quick. In the future I will include better shots of the build area.
it's easy enough to do, it's just a matter of extending the build area, in creation kit, i've done this in a few mods that i've installed, as well as that, you can open up buildings and refit them for use,.. something i do often,

Well I got it to work, except the settlement status doesn't show up on the map when hovering over the map marker. But it still shows up in the pip boy and settlers can be sent there and assigned to supply lines. So I'm not sure what's wrong with it.
set the encounter zone from the map marker and belonging headingmarker to the right zone, it prolly show none now if that not work you prolly have to discover that location true ellie, not sure if its inside the normal border, or outside
took a look there is a (seperate cell) with a mapmarker(dlc03nakanomapmarker cell) the mapmarker there is disable by default, its prolly the 1 that turn on with the quest you get from ellie, turn of disable by default on it prolly show
I was messing around with it last night and it does appear the map marker over the house is not the one that is linked (but it's supposed to be) to my settlement. I will have another look at it tonight after work, maybe I will figure it out.

I was hoping it extend past that and encompass a good portion of the town outside too.
