Was wondering, would you consider adding another misc item just like the "Buy First" item, except costing 100caps? Or even a few with different, higher prices? I ask because it would make for a really nice pay-to-fast-travel system.
Hmm... tax? Tip jar? By the way, it seems like I don't have to buy that "Buy First" item at all, in my game. I can just buy what i'm wanting, and it works properly. I sold it a quest-mod added misc item, and that item is still in the shop. It never gets wiped. Dunno if that has anything to do with it.
Hmmm, maybe the bug is just in my game then. I uploaded a new version with a tax item, 100 value, with 50 in the chest so you can spend as much as you want. i also added a Buy Food/Drink aid item, and a Buy Custom Items aid item which you can craft at a chem station under Utilities. My dude. One of the very first things I do everytime I make a new game, is go directly to my favorite vendor (slim) and load him up with all the items I want to buy in the future. I have to make him as essential. Acquire a couple thousand of each item. - I got a list on notepad at this point, but if it's a mod-added item, that's a much larger pain because I have to acquire one of them and then spend a good while duplicating them first. Make him a companion. Put every item into a nearby dumpster and then, as a companion, tell him to pick it all up. Remove him as a companion. Then use a console command to trade with him from that point on.
I don't have to do that anymore, thanks to this here mod. This mod ain't ever leavin' my load order. I can't even believe how quick you whipped this out -giggidy- My only tiiiiniest wish at this point would be for the Tip items you buy to remove themselves from your inventory afterward, like the "Buy First" item does. But that's barely a problem considering I can sell them for nothing into the Buy Materials item.
Yeah that's how the tax items are supposed to work. I forgot to do it for the custom vendor though. I just uploaded a new version that removes them while trading with the custom vendor. Note that they are removed after you exit the menu. Again glad you like the mod. Cheers!
Please, please tell me you're considering making other versions of this? Like one for buying all the Alcohols, and Nuka Colas. One for buying all the prewar foods. This is already stellar on it's own, been waiting for exactly this for a long time! And the inventory resets instantly after each trade? With default zero caps? So, this works as a dumpster for unwanted items? is i dreaming?
Lol, thanks glad you like it! Yes I could make more versions without too much difficulty. The reason I only made it for building materials though, is because getting to trade anywhere for aid items seems like too much of a cheat. I could do one for drinks and food though.
Well yeah, I agree being able to buy drugs anywhere anytime is OP. But I don't even want that, I just want the prewar food and drinks <_< I'm havin' a heck of a time nurturing my alcoholic picky succubus, I tell ya hwat.
i love this ! is there a way to make everything cost caps instead of materials? that would shorten the steps to place an item by causing the game to just charge you caps instead of concrete wood etc...
Also this mod gets two thumbs up for not being just another cheat! =p
Thanks! That would be possible, but a lot of work. You'd have to change or duplicate every workshop constructable object in the creation kit, and work out how many caps each would cost based on their materials, which I'm not going to do. If you want to though I'd say go for it!
Did you consider to create an item as a "vendor" using workshop and then trade with the item? I'm thinking this as workaround to eliminate your "buy me first!" issue.
