The mod definitely does what it says it will - it gives the dog more personality. And for a while, it's entertaining revealing all the possible speech lines he's been given.
But once you actually take him into combat his voice becomes a spammy incomprehensible mess of multiple long lines drowning each other out. Sometimes even out of combat he'll be spammy this way, depending on what's near him. This is most common when your dog has found something.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this as a long-term load order occupier, but if you just want something novel to keep you entertained til the next novelty, consider downloading this mod.
Fun mod that I've been enjoying, but I just wanted to check something--- is it typical for his voice lines to overlap more often than not or is that likely the result of a mod conflict? It's often hard or not possible to make out what he is saying because it'll be several lines playing at once.
yes, its because I replaced simple barking with text voice lines. Dogmeat is as much as noisy as he is talkative. I tried to contain that as much as possible, for instance, the idle chatter I had to mute fully because he just keeps talking the same stuff. However, I can try to adjust, by muting some lines, or I can add more lines to one sound descriptor. It might make more chaos, but who knows.
Me: Remember, only the Essentials mods, ask yourself "is it really essential for my game?" 3 times before you download any mod. Also me: Yes. Yes. Yes.
This seems like a fun mod but I can't hear what his saying very often because I have my weather set for violent nuclear winter and loud storms feel immersive. I use subtitles since companions can't lean in my ear and shout over the wind, but this mod doesn't seem to have subtitles.
You tried the first file, or the second one with evened volume for all lines? Since the original sounds were all different levels as set by vanilla. Subtitles, option could be considered, however for one category like "Alert Bark" or "Warning Growl" there are at least 3 lines. I will set the evened increased volume file as the main file, some how it was not set like that from the start. I personally have very increased hearing that I can hear every smallest sound and that is why it hurts me actually, but another thing i suppose that violent storm mod has simply their own custom sounds too load.
I scarped the Red Rocket console so this mod may not work for me for the mod hope there is store Red Rock console if scraped or make new console out of build work bench. Dogmeat shows up when I sleep in bed does show up Sanctuary Hills I post to meet the Dog at Red Rocket post wait tell I show up so I has to dismiss him follows me around when build up Sanctuary Hills. I think I have mod that I use for Dogmeat on Loverlab for Fallout 4 for companions love in bed.
Sorry about what I said about scrapped the terminal I notice I forgot that I started new game and I run to Red Rocket terminal was there I should give this mod a try.
