I'd love to be able to do some armorsmithing and give Kit more of an ass-kicking chance. AE and Legendary work, you know? Gloves. A hat. I don't want to perv on a girl who is a child, Agnis is dead right about that. I just want to equip her for the stupid that is the Commonwealth.
I want my companions to look and be protected in my games (modded to be more challenging). I don't care about bikini chainmail or the likes. However my dog will be better protected than this companion. I don't think that's right.
The gray hair would suggest a character in her late 40s to early 50s. She looks younger in one of the user images, perhaps in her 20s.
RISE FROM THE DEAD!!! Her hair would be white rather than grey. Likely a form of albinism instead of being age related. It could be how these "Heralds" are chosen.
So.... there are some bugs. A lot of bugs actually. It's all kind of broken.
One of the outfits causes Kit to vanish completely, "heather's lite outfit?" No idea who heather is, but Kit becomes a floating head and hands (and knife) when this happens. Maybe it's new stealth tech xD
The other outfits seem to destroy each other. Some of them vanish and never come back when you try putting something else on. Things like the Battlecoat and Bomber Jacket become permanent and do not change even if you try wearing something else. Also, they seem to be.... stacking. Kit gets thicker every time I try putting on a different one to change it. If Elder Maxon ever had a chubby daughter I now know what she'd look like.
All I wanted to do was change that bloody bandage T_T
Kat's Alternate Outfit (i think? it's vanished now so not sure) seems to be the one that works consistently, if you put it on first and then do not use any of the others, but it also seems to.... layer itself over the previous outfit. Her legs are wider than her torso. while her arms are toothpicks that don't really match her strength.
Oh well. The tiny sniper rifle is cute.
Anyway, I realize most people have moved on from FO4 by now and I don't even know if you're still around, but figured I'd come by and report.
Yes, same here. I just wanted to remove that bandage and the blood, ended up with a dummy thicc Kit. Essentially makes the mod useless, only one or two of the outfits "work" but they become permanent, just swapping between normal and thicc, and mega thicc. Wouldnt bother me if it was kit's alt that did this, but nope :/
Edit: I found a solution. It's weird, so brace yourself. Select her in the console, and type "unequipall" instead of making her naked, it will appear to do nothing. Well now you can put on the outfit you want and it will actually work. removing the item directly from her inventory doesnt work. its... really weird.
Oh thanks for that. This is probably a side effect of what the original mod author did as anti-p_edo protection vs the unequipall console command, so makes sense it "resets" her. Cheers Elegron. Anyone else, no i won't discuss what they did and don't ask :P
Very strange comment. I have romanced Heather in a playthrough (And got married in effect) as well as Piper in a previous play - No idea where rape came in ?
Statutory Rape=Sexual relationship with a minor Computer Simulated= Not actually occurring in reality, instead being created as a fantasy scenario within an electronic device. A Computer Simulation.
Computer Simulated Statutory Rape=Having a sexual/romantic relationship with a minor within a computer simulation.
The difference between romancing Heather, Piper, Cait.. is age.. those companions are all 18 or over. I know this might not be a world wide moral law but in the US, at least, having sex with a minor (under 18) even if you have "consent" from the minor is considered statutory rape being that the minor is not old enough to give consent in the first place.
You are mistaking malicious intent for the simple fact that people don't read carefully.
To the OP and others chiming in: Kit, the girl in the story, is around 16 years old. That's the part you missed. She's not an adult. It is clear from the confused posters that they did not realize this.
Of course, I also hear that a lot of kids play video games, so anyone who's 16 or 17 years old themselves who plays the game is likely to be confused at the anger that seems to be directed at them for no reason. For them, while it's annoying and understandable: no, you can't date Kit, sorry. Besides, the character you're playing is a mid-30s adult themselves anyway, so look elsewhere.
The age of consent is not 18. It's only 18 in 11 states of the USA. While the rest of the world ranges from 14 to 16. Besides, it's a cartoon of someone that's not actually human, she was created by that guy who appears to take her back! And how is putting a bikini on her considered rape? And how can she possibly be a teenager with grey hair?
And unless I misunderstand the point of this mod by the same author, The Baby Boomer at https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/40911, it's a cannon that uses "li'l boys" as ammo. So the author is OK with a simulated cannon that uses simulated babies as simulated ammo, but not OK with the simulated romance of a simulated robot he thinks is a simulated 16-year old girl (but looks like a short version of Trudy).
Not advocating Kit needs to or should be made slooty, just pointing this inconsistency out.
There is no inconsistency. Unless you can point out any real-world situations of babies being murdered by being used as ammo in cannons. (And I sincerely hope you cannot....). If you find a joke gun to be on the same level as sex with minors, I cannot help you.
You also are completely confused about how "age of consent" works. "Age of consent" only comes in when the other person is ALSO *under 18*. In no state, at no time, is it legal for any adult - anyone 18 or over - to have any kind of sexual contact with any minor - anyone under the age of 18.
The two posters who also seem to think Kit is a robot are also completely wrong and paid far too little attention to what was being said in the game. Kit and her sister - and all the Heralds - are human people from a human people community, who were trained and conditioned - harshly - from an early age, to be obedient enforcers for the rulers of that community. It's all in the game.
I want to make a cannon that uses babies as ammunition irl now just to spite you lmao, in all honesty tho think of the logistical complications with that. How and where would you source all the new borns? How would you make a munition that doesn't immediately obliterate the child? So many questions, i'll dm you when I have a working prototype.
Finally, it's about time we changed that dressing and cleaned off some of the blood, the poor dear! Seriously, thanks for this, I tried putting her in the CROSS Strigidae armor and long coat and the results were..... um..... not very ninja-like at all xD
I just wanted to say thanks for providing alternate outfits for Kit.Her default outfit is fine for the first part of her quest but for immersion it would be logical to get her some other outfits as well.I even change my characters look from time to time for immersion purposes.
I'm getting a wierd issue with the hands with the "Kats alt clothes" equipped. I just saw Kat and now I know what the issue is. Kit still has her original gloves on along with the gloves from the Kat outfit. Equpping the Kat outfit is not causing the Kit outfit gloves to be removed.

Thank you for the Workaround Elegron.

Pretty rudimentary, really.
