      I've just added a 'technical' section to the description. Can you follow the instructions for checking with the console and tell me what you get?

      thank you for the quick reply.

      here it is. Do note i'm playing survival mode, I had to install a mod just to open the console. the mod definitely does something, because when I tried just the locations version, I could see enemy blips. but the enemies+locations one still shows me locations in close proximity.

      Also might be worth noting that i started a new game with the mod setup shown above, and didn't add or take anything later, so it can't be a more ideal scenario

      Well, survival mode uses a different set of the 3 Game Settings, i.e. fSurvivalCompassLocationMaxDist, fSurvivalPerceptionCompassBase and fSurvivalPerceptionCompassMult

      In survival mode the enemy (PerceptionCompass) settings are zero by default and the location setting is much less than non-survival, you shouldn't even need my mod

      Are you sure you haven't added a mod that overrides survival mode's changes?

      yeah, i'm pretty positive i don't have mods that override survival changes. i like a minimalist approach. here is the full list of what I have

      I just prefer a completely empty compass I can use for orientation but i can't find a mod that does it. the rest all seem broken from other's feedback, and yours, that other's say works, shows the icons for me when in close proximity. maybe your mod only fully works in non survival?

      OK, what do you get if you use the GetGS command on those three fSurvival... settings?

      i'm guessing that 5000 might have something to do with the icons.

      Wow sorry, I totally had a brain freeze. The penny just dropped

      * My mod caters for people playing non-survival who don't want things on the compass.
      * Survival mode remove enemies from the compass, and reduces the distance that locations show on the compass
      * There's another mod on the Nexus that puts stuff back on the compass in survival mode

      But I forgot about a case like yours where some is playing survival and also wants no locations at all on the compass.

      Stand by, update incoming

      I know this was very long ago, but do you know how to change the fSurvivalPerceptionCompassBase and fSurvivalPerceptionCompassMult game settings? Because mine are not at 0

    Using this with survival options because I noticed during survival there is still enemies on the compass for some reason, downloaded this and the issue remains, it does not work at all.

      Thats because when you install survival options there are three options give to you. The default selection restores the enemy and location markers. Uninstall survival options and install with the correct option

    Works perfectly. A must have for immersion and combat improvement, now I have to actually seek and listen to enemies instead of just relying on the compass showing me exactly where and how many they are. Endorsed and thanks! :D

    for anyone wanting to make it like survival buyt in normal game.

    fperceptioncompassmult = 0

    fhud = 5000

    fcompbase = 0

    and just delete the survival option if there is one, i edit the main file in xedit. was not my idea i read it from an older comment :)

    Ever since they added this lower-common denominator retarded all-seeing compass to games since Oblivion I`ve had to load a mod like this every time to fix it. The point is to DISCOVER, not stare at the compass mark 24\7! Thanks for annoying me, Bethesda and thank you, Modder.
