I think I'm going to try this when I get home. I have this glitch where the gamma gun idle sound will play infinitely if I pick up and equip one. It doesn't matter if I switch to a different weapon or drop the gamma gun and leave it, the sound stays, even after exiting the game entirely, as soon as I boot up that exit save the sound will be there and if I start a brand new game (deleting all of the previous saves from the "saves" folder) the glitch will persist upon picking up a gamma gun. Fortunately the glitch does not seem to infect past saves though.

I have also experienced it a long time ago.
I couldn't reproduce it in the current game, so I don't know if it would be a countermeasure for that bug.
However, if it is the same idle sound, replacing with silence with this mod may be an effective measure.
And above all, this sound is unnecessary!

Sadly this did not fix the issue I was having.. back to the drawing board...

It must be a different gamma gun sound effect or some other kind of glitch..

EDIT: However I think I see why.. One of the idle sound files was in the wrong place and that must be the file that is bugged in my game...

      Ummm, that's a shame.
If the file in a different location is "WPM_pistolGamma_Idle_LP.wav", the location is correct.
However, in vanilla there is also a file "Idle _ **. Wav" in the same location, so copying silence files here may solve it.
In my environment this bug is not currently occurring so I can not confirm it.

      1. Copy all "PistolGamma / Idle / WPN_PistolGamma_Idle _ **. Wav" of this MOD
      2. Paste in the upper PistolGamma folder
      3. If the wav file of [1] exists in two folders, PistlGamma and Idle, ok

If you go into console and type forcekillsound()it will kill all ambient sound momentarily. It seems to work with a similar problem with the Tesla Rifle.
