the carry weight transfer would often be disabled often when I would enter dialogue ie just before a showdown, so I would become over encumbered at crucial moments. tried to uninstall following the guides but now transfer bonus still permanently present and cant add anything to my companions inv.
I am trying to create holotape for this mod at chemistry station. Cannot leave the station. Tab button not working. Only by Windows commands, so there is no tape in my inventory. Tried more than once, same result.
Seems the automatic transfer is cancelled by having a companion equip a weapon in their inventory (instead of the hidden, default they all carry). Then, after reestablishing the transfer using ALCH item, the companion will soon switch back from the provided weapon back to their default. So then you tell them to equip the given weapon and then lose their transferred capacity. Anyone else seeing that?
[Update] I've done some testing with this and it seems like any change to a companion's equipped items (weapon or armor or clothing) causes that companion's automatically transferred carry weight to be removed from the pool. Rerunning the ALCH add its back in. Changing equipped state takes it back out. Mods, like AFT, that can adjust companions' equipped items automatically also cause this problem.
I can secound this Problem, useing the AFT auto Gear change feature breaks the automatic mode of this mod. But even if you dont use AFT at all, manually changes a companions gear requiers a reset of the Carry weight transfer by useing the item.
I really love this mod and i hope there is a solution for this problem
I have the same problem. To regenerate the holotape 1. Go into console 2. type: help "companion carry" 4 3. This should give you an Alchemy Entry with a 8 digit code 4. to put it into your inventory type: player.additem xxxxxxxx (where xxxxxxxx is the code from step 3. )
Hey! your mod is absolutely wonderful! I'm perfectly happy using it as-is, but should the aid item get added automatically?
I didn't get it automatically either, If I reinstall will I be able to get it? I'm playing on survival and they've disabled the bloody console... I could try survival mode console enabler I suppose. This would be a good excuse to set that up.
Hey thanks, glad you like the mod! It should be added automatically yes, but I just uploaded an update where you can craft it at a Chem Station under Utilities. Cheers!
By the way, Kinggath (the author of Sim Settlements mod) shouted you out on his channel, check it out if you're interested. https://youtu.be/IGM1NS06N28?t=1309
That's why I found this mod. I hope it gets more attention, because it's as good and simple as Kinggath described it. Though I would have preferred it implemented using MCM rather than textinput, but that's the biggest drawback I can find, and I'll live with it, as this mod makes the game so much more enjoyable.
Thanks! Glad you like it. I might be able to add an MCM as well, although I'm used to Skyrim's MCM. Fallout 4's is a lot different and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it.
I'm finding the carry weight bonus to persist after clearing all transfers, dismissing companions, or uninstalling the mod; it seems to make the bonus permanent. Is there a manual way to remove the bonus? I'm also finding the set individual transfer limit option is no longer functional; selecting it just closes the dialogue window.
Hey, sorry it took so long to respond, I've been busy working on other mods. I uploaded a new version that should remove all spells when clearing all transfers. I've tested it out and it works for me.
