    v1.01 Charlotte's voice pitch adjusted by -8%

I adjusted Charlotte's pitch, but in fact I don't know if this sounds like a 20-year-old voice.
I understand how to adjust the pitch, so please give me your opinion if the voice is high or low.
The original v1.0 file is in the options.

First off, this is my favorite companion, and I've been impressed with it for quite some time. Many many Kudos to you for the tremendous work and effort you have contributed to add more depth and fun to the game.

Secondly, pay no attention to the sexually confused, closetted people who have gone no further in their lives than the local 7-11 two blocks from their homes. Some people have never seen an adult with the build and voice of a child or vice versa. This kind of shade (or hate) mostly come from Americans who endorsed a womanizer to run the country and still believe in a 3000-year-old demi-god that was bathed in blood, and can walk on water. I can safely assume they have not written a line of code or used a 3D modeler in their lives, and sooner bash work than appreciate it.

There is only one issue that I hope to fix. Charlotte's head is radioactive burned dark and the rest of her body is light. If there is a quick fix, I'd appreciate it - otherwise, I'll continue to look for solutions throughout the forum. I think it happened when Bethesda decided to further ruin the game with their buggy HD pack.

Finally, I will NOT download the altered voice as I don't consider the companion to be a child. I love your work. Keep it up.

From the Nexus Terms of Service:

      Prohibited and Illicit Content
Content deemed illegal by UK law, including but not limited to pornographic depictions of sexual violence, indecent depictions of minors, bestiality, necrophilia, etc., is strictly prohibited and will result in administrative action and when appropriate, notification to the proper authorities.

Notice that line, "indecent depictions of minors"? Sure you want to stand by that "fictional NPC, nothing more" defense?

The link, in case you think I'm pulling this out of my ass: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/18-terms-of-service#prohibitedcontent

Any chance of a silent protagonist patch?

I will not be making any patches.
      (I've uninstalled the game now.)

However, you can make a patch by following the instructions in the article.
You can create a patch by extracting the Silent Protagonist ba2 file, placing the batch file mentioned in the article, and running it.
You can then compress the file into ba2 or install it as a loose file as needed.
(If you compress to ba2, you will need to use esp/esl)

There are things in this world that simply make you go Hmm then you got those things that make you go WHAAAAT!!!!!! then you get situations like this that you cant help but jus say OMFGWTF is wrong with you people. Get a life, turn off your computer and go to the park or something. I promise there are more exciting things out there in the real world than sittn on your ass and complaining about an FREAKN MOD FOR A FREAKN GAME!!!!!! key word there folks id GAME you know make belief fake fantasy as NOT REAL. You people dont have anything else better to do then sit and bash on someone you dont know its pathetic. I have seen far worse on nexus than all of you have complained this mod does and Im sure some if not most of you have voiced your opinions on them as well, but its truely a shame the way most people get on here and act.

It would have been much better if you had rewarded her with the vanilla voice of a young woman. Many people change her baby face for something more adequate anyway.

I wrote this in response to a series of comments, but thought I'd also offer it as a stand alone post for those who might be interested on the take of an American who's lived in Japan for a while:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

American dude here. I've lived in Japan for over 10 years now (Sapporo 3 years, Tokyo 6 years, and Fukuoka 1 year). I've had exactly one Japanese girlfriend (early on, and I'd be reluctant to give that a try again knowing what I know now, in any case, it might be important to know that I don't specifically fetishize Japanese women) and have a ton of Japanese friends both male and female. I also speak Japanese. I'm not fantastic, but I can usually get by in most day-to-day situations.

So... the voice pitch thing. Yeah, it is a thing here. Japan does have some different cultural things going on with women, how women present themselves, and how they speak. It's a pretty male-centered society here, and things like innocence, naivety, purity, and frailty are often, but not always, fetishized by Japanese men. Many even have this thing for girls who walk pigeon toed, and some girls affect that walk for that reason. I still cant get over that when I see it. That's not to say that Japanese men who prefer women to be this way are pedophiles, but they often find these qualities attractive in grown women whereas those in the West might consider the same qualities weirdly child-like. And women's voices in particular are a thing. A high pitched voice in women is, I'm not sure how to describe it, seen as more proper, inviting, and friendly? Advertisements in Japan that feature women nearly always are spoken in a very high-pitched voice... annoyingly so because very often it's obviously affected and artificial: (example here: https://youtu.be/rv_2gxe-5MA?t=30)

I have a very good friend whose parents are both Japanese, and she herself was born in Japan, and her first language is Japanese, but she grew up in Boston. She naturally has a very husky and deep voice (which I happen to think sounds fantastic). However, when working in Japan as an adult in an office, she was told by her boss that she needed to speak in a much higher voice when at work. Yes, he required this of her. This kind of thing is often valued in Japan. She hated that she had to do that. She now lives and works in France and is much happier.

Anyways, is this quirky cultural component somehow maintained because adult Japanese men want grown women to appear childlike, and therefore somehow related to pedophilia?  I don't know. I'd say to make that claim would be a stretch. But even after 10 years here, it is still weird to me.  All I know is that it is a thing here, and the original mod author may not have anything remotely like pedophilia in mind. When he says that she's around 20 years old, we should probably give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's not a pedophile. She does look younger than that to me however...

Now as to the ethical implications of using the English female child voice files for the same character... yeah, seems a bit weird to me. But honestly, the fact that because I'm familiar with Japanese culture and the language enough that I can't bring myself to even use the original companion mod with the voice she uses because she sounds like a saccharine-sweet anime character to me... yuck (not to mention that she's blond-haired and blue-eyed... another common feature in Japanese manga and anime. Talk about "immersion breaking". Yeah, I totally don't understand why that is a thing in Japan either).  But I'm assuming for non-Japanese speakers, they might not pick up on this, and it might sound fine to them. And for anime fans, they might even prefer it. I don't, I find that stuff intensely annoying. She and her voice are not for me, but if it is for you, go for it I guess?

So this "woman" companion is claimed to be 20 years old in the master Charlotte file, but now she is being given a femalechild voice, using vanilla voice files spoken by the female children in the game (e.g. Nina Rodriguez), coming from quests that Bethesda calls "Children Lines Only." For example, "Get away" comes from the quest called "Children Lines Only", vanilla file 00021b3a_1.fuz, femalechildvoice

Put it altogether and you have a nude-enabled big breasted follower who looks and speaks like a child, with voice lines that Bethesda specifically made for children only.

    Everyone cool with that?

Yes effectively, using lines reserved to vanilla 10-14 years old children for a woman with a nude body with a “very approximative” age is... kind of weird..

It'd be one thing if the voice files were edited. Down-pitched to sound older or something. But just straight using femalechildvoice files as-is? I dunno, seems fishy.

      Hello.
Certainly this voice is just a child voice.
I didn't think it was so strange because my main language was not English.
I'll try to see if it can be handled by adjusting the pitch of wav.

What you have to realize is that most of these people are Americans that have never heard actual Japanese women speaking. The closest thing they've heard is an American woman of vaguely Asian descent. They don't realize that actual Japanese women can sound extremely young to American ears. I downloaded the follower and she neither looks nor sounds underage. Don't worry about it. Some people just have to find things to complain about. I'm willing to bet that the people that are complaining have never actually seen the mod in action.
Source: I lived in Japan for four years.

American here. Multiple past Asian girlfriends. One Japanese. Japanese women don't sound like children. Children do. What you have to realize is that some users are just into underage girls, and certain corners of the Internet are attempting to normalize that. The rest of the world still sees it for what it is,
