Outstanding. Now i know people look down on CC stuff but i was wondering if this can be done to the Captain Cosmic Energy weapon. One of the barrels adds a cryolator like barrel but it seems to do energy damage and I was wondering how you did this so i can do it since i don't expect people to have the CC content. (I got it on sale)
It's alright man, I'm not fussy about CC. Hell, they have an Anti-Materiel Rifle which makes me pretty moist. I'm not sure if you can actually do it to CC stuff (not sure if it loads a .esp file) but, worth a try.
I can't provide a concise tutorial in a single comment reply, but if you download FO4EDIT and load this mod, you can see what this mod changes. You'll see it changes Cryolator damage type from dtEnergy to dtCryo. The changes will be highlighted in yellow, sometimes red if it's conflicting with a another mod.
All the numbers and gobbledygook might seem intimidating at first, I felt the exact same way and just dicked around to see what happened and now look at me, I've uploaded 10 mods already! Good luck friend
Hey, I installed this and the Flamer mod you also posted and noticed that neither of them are actually ESLs. I'm going to convert them myself for personal use, but you should fix that since you claim in your descriptions that they are ESLs.
They are ESL tagged ESPs, meaning they don't count towards mod limit. If you load them in FO4Edit, you'll see their form IDs start with FE. An advantage to them being ESL tagged ESPs is that you can still decide where they go in the load order, I believe.
