Hey did you ever find out how to do that? I have been trying to replace the npc sound as well, but for some reason it makes them silent. And if it works, it still sounds like vanilla rifle sounds.

I made a simple mod for FX0x01's Heckler und Koch - G36 Complex to use RU556's original firing sound. Just for sharing, until we get a new one from cortlong50. sorry ive been slacking on making the rest of the weapon sounds, right now I am on a big doom kick so i have really been hitting that super hard. once i get over that and back into fallout I will definitely start with weapon sounds.
I've been getting the original sound mixed in with this on the G36 when using a semi receiver. Every 4th shot or so I hear the original instead of cortlong's sound.
I'm hoping this could be fixed wtih a quick xedit tweak but haven't had luck so far, any tips?
Very much enjoy these sounds. Came to upgrade, but I have 2.0, which is the current version on the overview. The latest in files is 1.2 (but dated today). Is that just a version number snafu and actually the right (new) thing to download?

Suppresed and un-suppressed is very punchy. its great.
One question though.
So if I wanted to replace the NPC sounds do I just make the file structure this: DATA -> SOUND -> FX -> WPN -> RU556 -> NPC???
or does this need to be changed in xedit? the keywords are confusing me lol

in fact...I will be uploading a new version soon (i redid some silenced sounds that I like more hahaha)
