I really like the idea behind this mod, but in practice it's a tad too awkward. Firstly, when you apply the paint the name doesn't change in the same way BoS paint does. That's ok for one item, but when converting half a dozen pieces or more to start re-dressing all your settlements' guards, it very soons becomes a pain, both during the painting AND when changing the guards' gear. UNLESS, of course, you also manually rename every goddam bit of armour yourself. I started doing this, prefixing an "MM" to every piece, but soon lost the will. That MM really needs to be automated like BOS paint is.
Secondly, the paint job itself - everything is blue, not just the armour pieces but the straps, pouches, buckles, and leather vest on the sturdier versions, which I thought would be ok but in-game is too much and doesn't quite look right. Also, the logo on the chest is a tad too big, imho.
guys i did everything i should to make my fallout 4 ready for mods and i installed them and i have put them in my data folder but for some reason they wont work and a youtuber said if the mods dosent appear in the plugins thing you should manually put them in so i wrote the names of the mods in is that what he meant by "put it in manually"?
Same here, had to manually put the files in the fallout folder has he said & this still doesn't work. looked at my ini file & i didn't have to change anything there. what the heck I just put a bunch of crap in my fallout 4 folder has if it doesn't have enough & this doesn't work.

I seen a post recently stating the new WATM can be safely renamed to the original My_Minutemen.esp however you will want to take a look at the WATM forums for a better description on how this is done.
I cannot find the paint job with Custom Combat Armor installed. I have the specific version, and have completed Taking Independence (4 times, according to my quest journal), but still cannot find any trace of it.
I'm right there with you. No paint job to be found anywhere. So, in my opinion, this mod doesn't work for me. Great job on the screenshots though. Just wish my CA could look like that.
I know I'm pretty late to the party but you are sure this is with the original version, right? There are two versions to download, with the top being the original (vanilla) version and the second requiring Endormoon's Combat Armor.
If the first download isn't working, I may have broke it somehow.
I'm not seeing the paint job either and I have the second version compatible with CCA. The first version does work but as noted, the paint job is in the materials section so if you use the MM paint job, you cant' upgrade your combat armor. The second version supposedly fixes this but it's not working, at least for me. No paint job is to be found.
I really like the color of the armor, it almost exactly matches the custom minuteman blue power armor paint from another mod I use (MMP4APA- Minutemen Paint for all Power Armors). My faction uniforms are coming together nicely.
I do wish that only the armor pieces (the parts that are normally default green) had been colored, though, and that the leather straps, pouches and canteen had been left un-dyed.Still, endorsing.
P.S. The description page says that you can't make the armor until you've completed Taking Independence, but I was able to make it as soon as I installed the mod and I haven't done that yet.
Definitely agree that it needs more color variation more like the vanilla armor. Making everything blue just looks ridiculous. The straps, bags, canteen, and the underlying bulletproof vest on the medium sized armor chestpiece shouldn't be blue. The blue color chosen is excellent, there's just way too much of it.
