    Locked
    Sticky
    Version 1.3 has been released.

I have changed the Keep Saved Weather button to Lock Saved Weather and when locked your saved weather will always be active without the need to change other settings.
I have also added a Reset / Uninstall button which should be used if you are intending on uninstalling the mod or if any issues arise in the mod or when updating causes problems.

    Cheers

The files to download are a bit confusing.
The main file and update are both numbered 1.3

The update file seems like it is a patch to update previous versions to 1.3,
but I'm going to assume it's actually an update FOR version 1.3

    Can anyone confirm?

It looks to me like the update is actually a hot fix for a missing file in 1.3.

If you look at the upload time, the difference looks like a hot fix.
I believe it wouldn't matter anyway, if the update is for a previous version, the changes would be the same as 1.3 so over writing them would have no negative effect.

I would download main file then update. Load main first, then update if needed.

Even though this mod doesn't require f4se to function, placing the entirety of f4se into Fallout 4 has fixed an issue where I couldn't get the minimum weather time to work (though I do use NAC) It now works across the board with both CW weathers and NAC weathers.

Hi, I downloaded and installed this using Vortex (also got he Vivid config since I'm using it) I first tried ESL version and once I get in game it says in the MCM menu that the ESP is missing, I tried the ESP version as well and it didn't fix this either... Am I completely stupid and missed something or did I break it somehow?.....

Their is a patch for the ESL version in the optional files. If you have that installed with the ESP it will break.

      Suggestion:

      Remove all copies.
      Start game.
      Save.
      Install the version you want.
      Test.

Thanks, I didn't notice the patch because it looked like a patch for updating the mod from a older version (failed to see that it was released a day later than the mods current version) I started a new game since I was testing stuff anyways but it still displays the same error message with the ESL version.

Use the ESP version. If using vortex or xEdit you can still flag it ESL without breaking.

What version of FO4 are you running? Are you using F4SE? Are you using the latest MCM?

Fallout 4 is up to date, I checked it since I just started to build my load order with Vortex, F4SE of course and I just downloaded MCM before the weather control mod.

If MCM is saying the ESP is missing that means the mod is either not activated in your load order or that it is missing altogether.
You can check in game by opening the console and typing getquestrunning MCMWeatherControl, it should say 1.00
If its says 0.00 then ensure the mod is activated and installed properly.

I'll try that, just weird since Vortex says everything is ok and the plugin is showing..

Version is 1.10.163.0, unless there was a update this week, it should be up to date AFAIK.

Are you using deploy to when installing mods in Vortex? Are there any errors in your notifications tab?

Been away from the Commonwealth for awhile and stumbled across this amazing gem while updating my mod deck.

    Just a quick sanity checker:

Since this is a global WEATHER mod/weather mod tweaker via MCM, then it should be mutually exclusive with global environment overhaul mods which change the world vegetation/landscape the likes of Seasons right? i.e. shouldn't have any inter dependencies with a mod like this?

    https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5810

If so then THANK YOU. And if not, thanks anyways

Because ever since installing the Seasons Project, I've been looking for a way to conveniently modify the weather on the fly. So now if using the Seasons Project winter map version, I can have predominantly snowy/rainy Far Harbor weather v. predominant rain/fog for Spring map etc. etc.

Do I need the update file too, or just the main 1.3 file?

I would say to download the update file, too. If you look at the timestamps of the files, you should notice that the update file is newer than the other files.

I cant seem to get this to work. I dont get any message or errors but the weather doesnt change.
For example, if I go into the MCM -> MCM Weather Control -> Commonwealth Weathers and select Clear I see the popup that says "Commonwealth Clear Weather set" with an OK button. However, when I hit OK and exit the MCM, whatever weather was previously going is still there (radstorm etc).

      I copied gargorias comment from 24 November 2019, 8:19AM

Change to the weather you desire and then in the Save Weather Options save that weather and then set Lock Saved Weather to on.
The weather may still try to change (transition) to any game overrides like the Glowing Sea but it will change back to your weather before it does the full transition.
      ------------------------------------
And sometimes U have to reload after U saved so the script kick in
I to had some problems first, but after some repeating and save/load it worked and I uninstalled two weather mods cuse of this one

I dont think the game is trying to change the weather, I'm familiar with how that looks in-game from using True Storms weather controller. In this case the weather is not changing at all. I will see if I can do the lock saved weather thing, but I dont really want that. I want the weather to be dynamic but sometimes I dont want a radstorm or whatever.

MCM Weather Control - Options - Use Weather Transition
If the setting is on then you will have to wait until the weather changes to the one you just set, it will use the usual game weather transition.
If you are in an area where the game forces weather types (like the glowing see) then the game may force the weather back to the default one before the change you made can occur.

So ok, we all do different things with the game, thats the cool thing.
I, my self I trying to make the Wasteland a sunny/tropical place, so I always have the sun shining
And it works perfect, even on the DLCs.

Hope U get it working when combining with other weather mods, it can be tricky :/

I've been trying different combos for this mod. So far I can sometimes get it to visually change (when I click the weather option I can see the sky change slightly) but it wont 'stick'. Even with transitions off and trying to use the 'save current weather' feature as suggested, it just wont do it. I'm currently in Far Harbour so I dont think there's a forced weather going on. (the game cycles on its own through various weathers even if I locked saved weather to on)

This is awesome. If I change the weather in the glowing sea, will it revert back to radstorm? I used the change weather feature in the cheat terminal mod, but it always changed back to radstorm after 1 minute when in the glowing sea.
