Why not change the PipboyLowPlayer.nif to use a different texture? I'm not at the point in the game where Vault 81 is so I can't test, but from the name of the .nif file I'm assuming this mesh is for the players pipboy only.
Rename the three .dds files this mod (and any other pipboy re-skin mod) adds in Data\Textures\animobjects\pipboy
From:
pipboy01_d.dds pipboy01_n.dds pipboy02_d.dds
To:
pipboy03_d.dds pipboy03_n.dds pipboy04_d.dds
Quickest way to edit the .nif is in a Hex editor, I recommend HxD. Go to Search then Replace. Search for pipboy01 and replace with pipboy3. Then search for pipboy02 and replace with pipboy03. Replace all instances and save. The game will now use your new textures for the pipboy but whether or not it also replaces the NPC's in Vault 81 I cannot verify. Maybe someone can give it a try and let me know?
For those wanting to change the colour of the armband just edit the pipboy02_d.dds file in Data\Textures\animobjects\pipboy using Paint.NET or GIMP.
I used Paint.NET personally. Use the magic marker tool to select all the yellow textures then change saturation to the lowest then darken to a dark grey colour. I had to copy the sticker from the original over and add some new sellotape textures I found on Google images: http://imgur.com/a/uer3q http://imgur.com/b6NMtZ4
Any chance you could make a version of this with a darker version of the wristband? Or maybe a version that has that same red texture on the wristband?
This is a great re-texture, and I love that carbon look it has, but yeah I agree the wristband needs to be the same colour, please do this to satisfy our OCD's
