It really annoyed me that the textures Bethesda used where so low quality for the robots. I wasn’t expecting anything epic of course, we don’t play Bethesda RPGs for pretty graphics, but those where painful to look at. Like some early 2000s graphics. Glad you fixed this
You can download Cathedral Assets Optimizer or BSA Extractor and just extract textures from this file, then repack it to RAR as loose files (so only textures without esp file).
Ignore that ubove post and FORGET about loose files (loose turds) when you want to use a large collection of HD textures.
For the benefit of future readers: Try adding texture archive packs manually.

If you don't want to use the esp -file, you need to type and add the ba2 -archive's full name and file extension into the fallout4.ini -file under the [Archive] -section after all the default ones there. Just make sure you have the ba2 archive in your fallout 4 data folder. There is a limit to the number of ba2's but it was a pretty large one... Something like over a 100 archives or something... Can't remember.
Note that there is supposed to be a single comma after the file extension, followed by a single space and finally followed by a full file name with extension and NOTHING after that unless you want to add more archives of cource. Seriously, be Careful not to add ANY extra spaces or ANY extra ANYTHING when adding your own archives - do NOT deviate from how the list is supposed to be written.
Actually I forgot about some important links with good stuff on them, now added... - BUT - ChickenAlfredoyou MUST be JOKING! :-O
All I tried to say is you literally write some text (a file name) into a text file, save the file and you're done. How the heck is that more complicated than working with archive manager programs? Esp. if one doesn't even use such programs and doesn't even have one? Come on!
The point was that loose files (turds) are OK for a few replacers here and there but bad for large packs and large collections of misc. textures that should be merged and archived for the sake of performance...
I take all of this stuff I can find into account 'cause I've got an OLD 4GB GTX 960 with some overclocking that absolutely will tell me to go f*** myself if I go too crazy with texture filtering and such. It's even got this idiotic useless 'plate' with just a few 32nd's of space between it and the circuit board... posts it's attached with can heat up to 200 degrees because air apparently doesn't move very well from there!!!!!! NUTS!!!! I've been thinking of removing it and replacing the fans and the heat sink paste actually...

But maybe you've got a $3500 GPU with a liquid nitrogen cooled processor that was overcloked by Nikola Tesla's ghost and a special edition hand forged heat sink by Jesus Christ of Nazareth with special paste from aliens from outer space... With all that, you'd STILL need to upgrade the fans on it with at least two or three continuous nitrous fed rolls-royce pegasus turbofans from one of those sea harriers that Schwarzenegger flew in the movies and have somekind of sound insulation that can handle supersonic wind speeds. Might want to tighten the screws on your hard drives while you're at it. You would STILL collapse the whole thing into a BLACK HOLE from HELL. With that, go ahead, unpack everything and run them as loose files, get everything in 8K textures the normals, speculars, diffuses and all LOD textures, oh hell, actually just scale everything up so that just the smallest mipmaps are 8K! Did I mention just the bearings on the trubofans alone would need periodic blessings from the 'big guy' upstears to work reliably and a regular tuneup from Christ. And DON'T get me started on how much texture filtering would be needed for them to look good. My computer would run out of memory from trying to write down all the individual numbers in notepad...
Thanks for the wonderful mods)) tell me please. Protectron (builder) robot - does not seem to have an improved texture (at the College Square Metro Station) ...
But anyway, this is a replacement texture pack for the HD DLC that covers robots only (protectron not included), so no, the HD DLC is NOT required. However, the AUTOMATRON DLC is required since it's the one with all the robots... d'oh!
It looks totaly wonderfull but id does not work for me, I have tried everithing and I belive I have good expirience with moding. But in my game there are no clean textures on assaultron or anything else. Please help me. What things are necesary for this mod to work?
Not sure what you mean with "no clean textures on assaultron"... ???

You will need to have the below ba2 archive and esp -file in your fallout 4 data folder as shown below and the esp file enabled either from the in-game mod menu or from your mod manager if you use one.
SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data SavrenXBetterRobotHDLibertyPrime - Textures.ba2 (472.0 MB) SavrenXBetterRobotHDLibertyPrime.esp (323 B)
Alternatively, you could disable the esp -file and type and add the ba2 archive file name and extension into fallout4.ini -text file under the "[Archive]" -section after all the default ones.
And just in case you missed it, this pack doesn't include protectron textures.
I don't normally comment, but I've been poking around the files and this mod doesn't actually contain the texture files for Automatron. As far as I can tell anyway. It's a real bummer because there aren't a lot of mods that try and improve the robots.
Nuka-World's Assaultron and Sentry bots are strangely black. Is this environment dependent? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YGqBB2ZmGBfVPKDmU2Bdsys-fk55Z-p4
