These idiots are spawning like cancer just about at every single mod post in the entire nexus. They bother to read nothing, yet they actually bother to write up complaints and demands that are completely unnecessary - AMAZING! BRAVO !!
Hey guys I don't know why but dirty army fatigues are getting this ugly black pixelated texture around the legs and forearms. I downloaded the fix for dirty in downloads but it didn't do anything. Does anyone have any fixes? pic of problem in link
Thanks for making this open use, I'll be sure to release any modifications of vanilla clothes I make using these assets rather than the base game's (with credit to you, of course.)
I realize the author doesn't seem to be around much, but I figured I'd report a broken file I discovered from the mod so anyone else might know what's up.
The 'Patched three-piece suit' appears odd in-game from a close-up distance, having a triangular black (or sometimes blue static) overlay on it. Example image: https://imgur.com/q3NdJnj
I tracked it down to this mod, specifically the Resident4Body_d.dds texture, which seems to have been messed up at some point by having the texture squashed and duplicated endlessly (LOD generation maybe? I don't know). Image of the broken file: https://imgur.com/nS7ACAJ
I downloaded a replacement texture for the Patched three-piece suit from Thaylar's Clothing and Armor Enhanced mod, which also uses the Bethesda HD textures as a base, and loaded it as a loose file, which fixed the issue for me. The suits appear as they should now and the texture file itself also looks much different, no more duplication nor empty black space.
I don't know if SavrenX ends up seeing this comment, hopefully if they do they'll upload their own fix as this is otherwise a great mod. Until then we'll have to fix the bugged texture ourselves.
Oops, forgot to check back here after posting. I'll open a bug report.
As for the loose file, I'm not quite sure if I have permission to upload it myself since it's another modder's work. One can get it themselves by downloading "Thaylar's Clothing and Armor Enhanced" from the Nexus and getting the file 'Resident4Body_d.dds' from it. The mod already comes with loose files, so there's no need to unpack archives. It's inside the 'Residents' folder.
You people and your loose files... LOOSE TURDS! xD XO
Using a few loose files is fine BUT for large collections/packs, archived packs are better for performance than loose files so use a ba2 compatible program like "bethesda archive extractor" or the one in the creation kit - it's free in steam anyway and has both packing and un-packing functions.
Hi, if plugins aren't required would it (pretty please) be possible to have optional loose file versions of your mods available? I know I can extract them and install them that way but I want to make the (strictly no plugins) mod collection I am working on as easy as possible to download without any additional steps required.
Plugins ARE required unless you add the ba2 archive in manually.
Forget about using loose files (loose turds) when using a large pack or collection of misc. textures. It's bad for performance. The archived packs are better to use. Ideally, you could replace the original textures inside the archives the game/DLC's come with but you'd need to get into the creation kit for that, it's free though.
- BUT -
If you don't want to use the esp -file, you need to type and add the ba2 -archive's full name and file extension into the fallout4.ini -file under the "[Archive]" -section after all the default ones there. Just make sure you have the ba2 archive in your fallout 4 data folder. There is a limit to the number of ba2's but it was a pretty large one... Something like over a 100 archives or something.
And just in case you missed it too, I think savren has flagged all of his esp's as esl's so they won't take up a mod slot but can still be sorted like esp's...

Great mod!
Is it possible to get a 4k version please?
