This is such a a cool idea...it reminds me of British sci-fi from the 60's, for some reason. What is the performance hit of the extra shadows this mod seems to generate? Does anyone have before and after FPS?

Probably not since it adds lots of new locations, im sure there will be mushrooms inside buildings etc.

This is great, but all mushrooms are the same. If you/someone could gain permission from skyrim modders to copy their mushroom models to F4, it would be nice 'Fallout Morrowind wasteland Overhaul'

hello flacked i had some suggestions for your fungal forest mod
glowing mushrooms which can glow at night, add a particle effect, you could harvest some for a food source and grow your own at settlements, give them beatiful colors(single to several colors and spots),you could add red and green mushrooms which are rare as aid items you can consume for bonus stats =D,some that can be collected to make healing potions, poisons et cetera
bonus request raiders dressed up as mushroom goblins twerking(just kidding lol)

let me know what any of you think

Possibly, some variety in the mushrooms would be nice like glowing green ones.

What is the grace of placing giant mushrooms?
Did you get this from somewhere in the game?

this is really cool but it seems a bit too much for my own taste. how hard would it be to make a version of this that just makes them pop up here and there instead of everywhere? to have this many giant mushrooms all over the whole commonwealth makes for kind of a diminishing return once you actually get to the glowing sea.

Since its based on the BNS framework, I don't have much control of where the mushrooms are unless I manually edit their locations. I may look into tweaking the placements in the future.

For a light version, just expand all BNS worldspace tab and hold CTRL while randomly clicking on one or two things every few cells.
just go through and select very few. Copy them as new records into new esp and then change reference. Then run xedit clean masters in case some trees were pines added from BNS . Very easy, slightly time consuming. Then run Lodgen. Pretty sure you know all this tho. It's how you made this mod basically haha

It would be cool to see these mushrooms grow in certain areas with heavy radiation like those radiation ponds around the commonwealth or that facility that had a radiation leak.

A light version with scarcely placed mushrooms would be great.

No replacing the vanilla trees with mushrooms would break the precombines.
