Does anyone have the bug that causes CTD on fast travel into the settlement where the pod is located? It renders the mod completely unusable. I wonder if this is version dependent, or some kind of mod conflict?
I have one very little Bug (no preview picture in the workshop) and one very strange sound-bug (a permanent annoying sound from the cryo chamber from vault111). both bugs are easy to fix, i thought if someone else has these bugs i can post my found solution here.
Number one, preview picture: Follow my screenshot: https://abload.de/image.php?img=unbenannt25ajjj.jpg Open the "Protectron Pod Mod.esp" in the Tool "FO4Edit". Then go unter "Furniture" in the entry "WorkshopProtectronPod01" and here (right) unter "PTRN - Preview Transform". Make here a new Entry (right mouse-button and "add"). When one is placed i get a hissing sound no matter where i am in the world. It sounds like a microphone feedback sound. When I store/remove it goes away. Anyone else have this bug? I want to use this mod but the hissing makes it unusable for me.
Update: The sound came back after resting even with the pod removed. I tried to replace it and see if when my protection is docked it would stop; and it continued :/
They are permanently docked until the settlement is attacked. Sometimes they can emerge from the booth to greet you and offer to become your companion, if you use default Automatron robots and not ones from a mod, and come close to the docking station. They also sometimes spawn undocked on fast travel and dock back within a minute.
Actually was looking for something like this for the robots in my settlements that would work like a guard post or bed. Think you can get something for the other bot types as well?
The mod works by using the protectron animation for the pod, the other robot types don't have an animation that is similar, I don't believe the others even go towards it because of this, if you have any ideas for other "pods" let me know and i'll see what i can do
a mr gutsy and perhaps some sort of robo brain docking pad would be amazing! or even like those arms in the mechanist liar that picks them up, you could make like a big ass customizable docking station that holds 2 assaultrons by using a crane thing that picks them up under their shoulders and locks them into a pod at night(or just wire it to a day night sensor so that when its night time it recalls them) then the sensory could also release them during an attack!
hah i know that way to much to ask but just an idea lol
Although robots in Automatron don't appear to need them they do actually require beds for settlements. It would be great if you could add a version that acts as bedding as a result, instead of having to make three actual beds.
