FYI, Shrutes, I'm not sure if you're supporting this anymore, but the 1.1 version of Reshade is no longer available on the Reshade download page. Looks like they're really trying to push the new Reshade 3.0.

The reshade should work with 2.0 too mostly; but in any case ill do an update with reshade 3.0 once I can

I have encountered a small issue. During nighttime lots of textures look incredibly blurry and and washed out (example below).
Any help would be greatly appreciated since I actually really enjoy playing with this particular preset.

Think you are probably using a darker nights / darker interiors mod thats making things that dark; either use your flashlight or uninstall the dark mod (if you have one installed)

This is just a reshade preset so it does not really affect textures in the slightest, its more like a color filter; thats it.

Wow, I feel kinda stupid now. A bit of a shame though since I liked the darker nights mod, but no big deal. Thanks a lot for your help.

Yo, getting a major bug with this and I followed installation instructions to the letter.
I've tried reinstalling after deleting the whole thing a bunch of times but yeah. (Using Reshade 1.0.0)
Dark blue screen with the cinematic borders, I can toggle it off to vanilla but the preset is broken for me.

(Using the Rustic preset for clarification)

    Any help bro?

Hmm do any other presets work fine for you?

Because I haven't experienced this bug like ever; try using reshade 1.1.0

Used to have this working but now no matter what I do I cannot get this enb to show up in game anymore. I receive the message in the top left upon launch however when I'm in game it looks as if the visuals haven't changed at all. I have tried toggling on and off with Shift F12 however still nothing. I have tried reinstalling the ENB about 5 times and nothing changes....It used to work fine, yet I uninstalled it to try something else now coming back to this and it just won't work. Beautiful work! I was a big fan of ENB of the Apocalypse for NV and was pleasantly surprised when I realized that you made that one as well. I like your style! *endorsed*

Btw, I use your apocalypse setting with Fr4nsson's Light Tweaks and the More Common Weather(crappy setting) mod...makes the game look like a beautifully oppressive post-apocalyptic hellscape. So happy.

    Will try Rustic soon.

Can't wait! Btw, just for clarification; does this preset work with darker nights mods? I have several light killing mods in effect and can't remember if your presets darken nights and interiors, though I suspect it does.

It darkens nights already, you dont need a darker night mod with this preset unless you want pitch black nights; the Realistic interior mod is also not really needed but works fine

Thx! I'm surprised this doesn't have many more endorsements.

If I can make one suggestion, would you be up for dialing back the cool shadows a bit in your apocalypse preset? If not, no biggie, I can probably figure it out, it just seems a liiiiitle too strong. I do like how higher value light is crushed into a yellowish tone though.

OK, I think Crossprocess is turning on and off your color edits, but can you tell me what function you're using to tweak color?

*update* Nevermind! Found em. I'm dumb.

Using Technicolor, Filmic curve, crossprocess and Reinhard linear to tweak color IIRC, but the easiest way to tweak shadows is lift gamma gain, it will affect the rest of the image a bit too though.

      I'll try that, thanks!

I actually have a very good looking custom reshade now. It's a hybrid of yours and bits from Clean Light and Alone. It's crazy how just a few lighting & color tweaks can take the vanilla game so far beyond what BethSoft gave us.

Done everything as it is described:

    * Download Reshade Framework 1.0.0 from here
    * Extract and drop all files in your Fallout 4 folder (where the .exe is)
    * Download my cfg files
    * Extract, select one preset, and copy all the files to the Fallout4\Reshade\ folder.

    But, renamed ReShade64 --> dxgi.dll

As far as I know, we have to rename the x64 dll file.

After I overwrite the content ReShade folder, and start the game I got some kind of error message at the top left corner. Tried to make screenshots, but sdaly this info, lines does not appear at the screenshots.

Presets are work, cause I can switch between Vanilla and Preset via Scroll Lock, and of course I see just with my eyes it works. Just got some kind of error message. But, I use the 1.0.0 framework.

    Too small?

    Any idea?

    Thank you!

Ps: And one more thing. AO. Performance is one thing. But every presets I tried with AO it cause issue for instance that water will be transparent. Some kind of transparent effect, issue with AO enabled:

Do not ask me, why Dogmeat loves to swim at radiactive water. I guess sadly he also suffer from some kind radioactive disease... :/ :o I am just for creating screenshots.

Lol yeah have to rename Reshade64.dll, need to add that point; the error is fine, its due to some random DoF values I used i think... as for AO, the Reshade version is only good for screenshots anyway

I don't know wheter you know or not K-Putty's ReShade. In my opinion its preset has a DOF also with subtale effects only -1 fps, but its AO is more subtale. Does not require too much fps, but sadly also suffer from that water issue as well. Somewhere else I would looks fine. It is adds a subtale deep, shadow effect. It is a good thing just that water issue wouldn't be exists. :/

Thank you for your feedback and looking forward any updates your preset. Honesrly I can tell you I do not really see a big difference between neutral and rustic version. But maybe the problem is with me. What sould I notice to compare these 2 presets? The apocaliptic version is too much for me.

And yes, darker nights will be fine, just too dark.

Neutral version is a very good preset.

Ps.: Do you use Realistic Lightning indoor, outdoor version, or not? (when creating your presets, and for gameplay)

Because in my opinion that's okay that every presets can be used together with RL, but looks different. Sadly, little author sign to use or not RL with its preset. I guess the good direction is RL. I am sure for time passing without lightning mods ENBs and presets will not be exits, which prepare to use with vanilla lightning system.

Tried them a little bit more. I was wrong. Rustic is seems definately less colorful, less saturated version than Neutral. If I am not mistaken.

Yes rustic is less colourful and is tinted slightly brown/reddish; I checked with both RL enabled and disabled, and It works well with either; thing is that with no seperation between exterior (nights) and interiors; making interiors darker/brighter also makes the nights darker/brighter.

Reshade after all is only a temporary solution for Fallout 4 until we get the first ENB dlls.

Thanks! Yes, I knew that. And I guess that is why so hard to balance between brighter day and darker nights. And yes, I see there's noe diff. between you wrote. On the other hands there are a few presets yet, which alter these very well, though the limitation.

Fortunately I am on the side, who do not require pitch black nights. Mostly not for the 1st gameplay.

At this moment what I've done added a little bit HDR via Sweetfx, I am big fan of HDR and not much, but little bit nights get darker. Of course days as well, but fortunately daytime with your preset is more brighter than for instance... Silk Shadow preset.

I hope you'll have to find out how to make darker the way, that daytime still keep bright and shiny.

      Nice job, you've done!
