Alien Blaster is an iconic weapon in fallout series and powerful too. In fallout 4 it appears at lvl 15 and is as strong as a fully upgraded laser gun. However, it has no legendary effects and its projectiles are very slow. This means that when you can acquire a fully upgraded laser gun, the alien blaster becomes obsolete. Furthermore, to convert the ammo to fusion cells you need to be at lvl 41 (science! rank 4), at this point you will not be using the blaster.
So pretty much in Vanilla game Laser gun > Alien Blaster
With this mod, I am adding an on-hit effect to the alien blaster with 2 effects.
1. every hit will cause 5 electric damage per second for 3 seconds. It stacks.
2. a small chance to paralyze your enemies for 1 second (3% per shot)
I am also reducing the perk required to convert ammo to fusion cells: From Science! rank 4 to Science! rank 3
This will make possible the ammo conversion at lvl 28
Now the alien blaster is a bit stronger than the laser gun and have the small chance to paralyze. It's like if you could put both the overcharged capacitor + gamma wave emitter into the same laser gun.
