This mod is part of my Improved Ecosystem Series that bolsters the Stingwings in Fallout 4 to better balance the game and create a proper challenge while adhering to the natural food chain. The perception, speed, and health of these creatures have been altered from 10% - 75%, depending on the type of Stingwing it is. Size has been reduced by 35%-65% depending on species.
8/23 Update: Well, my PC is officially dead so all projects have been put on permanent hold for PC and the other platforms. If you would like to help me scrounge up funds to continue modding. Hit this donations button.
Excellent mod. The new stingwings are really dangerous and the smaller size fits them better. I have patrols of up to 8 of them (60 or 70 as said in another post would be insane) spawn by Endless Warfare. As I don't have and never will have enough ammo for use of automatic weapons and never use VATS, they pose quite a problem (better to run …)
oman im looking forward to this one, i have more enemies set up and i have it so maybe 60-75 sting wings in a mob, this should REALLY take it up to the next level. i personally think the bugs should be in swarms or groups in this game, and the number should be so high, that theyre basically as deadly as a deathclaw or more. i also do groups of deathclaws, because thats actually more lore friendly too. this will be epic. thank you so much!
fk it into the void we go!!! im gonna try this and the rest of your mods all at once and see how far i get lol Any chance you have plans on working on the ghouls as well?
You can refer to the article for future plans for this series of mods. I've had some setbacks due to the recent windows/FO4 updates so updates and workflow is a lot slower then I would like. CK at this point is unusable so I, unfortunately, had to cancel/hold projects til I isolate what update screwed up what.
I'm not sure where you are getting the impression that my mod series makes the game so difficult. The mods are meant to balance the weak vanilla settings, not overpower the creatures and NPCs. I do hope you find them to your liking but the changes are a lot more subtle then what you might be imagining.
...you probably said "please sir may I have another?" after getting gangblasted by Cazadores in New Vegas if you thought "let's take Stingwings and make them more like Cazadores" was in any way acceptabru to those who had encountered such hell entirely too many times.
These are nothing like the cazadors from New Vegas. If I can get my PC working properly again, I'll make the cazadors and bring them to the Commonwealth. BTW, I think the first word out of me was F#@!. :)
Stingwings being too dangerous seems to be a common complaint, yes, or at least it used to be. Personally I find them to be much less scary than the Cazadors of New Vegas.
Sorry, I didn't mean to upset the author. I'm extremely scared of wasps. Stingwigs are my most hated enemy. I will fight 20 giant deathclaws who are equipped with missile launchers over one stingwig.
Awesome! I've already been using your Mirelurk, Radscorpion and Yao Guai files with no issues and nothing but tortuous fun, so it'll be great to add stingwings into the mix as well.
For those who already find stingwings a tough fight, just be glad that the cazadors of New Vegas never made it to New England!
I am not using those, but only due to having overhaul mods that change much larger aspects already, such as Super Mutant Redux which changes the entire faction, Behemoths included, so I can't run both.

Edit: I guess I shouldn't balance everything to "Stalker" difficulty, príteli. :)
Like your work. Using Dethclaws and Behemoth' atm. Planning for the rest...^^

Edit: OK.
