amazing mod makes the game seem alot more lively. question how would i go about adding a few extra sounds to this? i really want some ambient barking dogs and no mod has it lol
Thank you. I was able to merge this with Sinister Ambience for a really nice set of sounds. They really work well together for a creepy / tense playthrough imo. Thanks again.
Listening to the videos it sounds really good, however it might just be that you raised the volume for the showcase but it sounds awfully close to the player character.
Would it be possible to get a version where the gunfire sounds more like "pops" on the horizon, so to speak, or is this possible for me to do myself through FO4Edit? Thanks.
Hmm, only things I can think of is to either lower the volume a bit (by raising the Static Attenuation) - or possibly by changing the sounds to a different Output Model, not sure which output model would be best though. Output Model's typically are named with numbers that correspond with their fade-out start/end distance, like "SOMMono12500". Unsure if this would work though, as I don't know if a regional sound has an actual "placement" on which to base distance...but I think it does.
Edit: Another thing that you might try is a few ini settings - "fRegionRandomSoundPlacementBase=100.0000", "fRegionSoundPlacementRandomOffset=650.0000", and "fRegionSoundPlacementZOffset=256.0000". Increasing values (probably the second one would be best) might achieve what you're looking for. But keep in mind I've never used those settings (so I don't know if they even work), and they would affect ALL regional sounds, so probably not the best option.
Personally, I've never felt that they sounded "too" close, but that could be a combination of my speakers/headphones and just pure randomness (where I am located in game, etc). A couple of them are meant to sound close-ish, like shell fly-overs.
Sorry for the wait. Yeah, but you'll have to make a patch in most cases. However, I'm currently working on scripting this instead, to avoid having to do that. Shouldn't be too long. A week or so.
Edit - Actually scratch that...I can't get the sounds to play how I want them to, via script. But this is still easy enough to patch for whatever.
Hey there , You have created a nice mod there ... but i would like it even more if thoose sounds wouldnt play that often. Could u upload an Version where the Sounds play less often ? :)
You can use FO4Edit to lower or change the chances to whatever you want. I added a image showing what to look for if you didn't know. Let me know if you need any help.
