+3000k hours and I can't believe I've never bothered to look for a meat replacement for the boring DLC PA Displays. I shall download immediately and hopefully make a decent looking dispaly on Spetacle Island.
Mod seems to not work properly after the 1.5 update. Can still make the displays, but can not put power armor in them, no activation. It worked great before that.
I was really hopping someone would make an PA storage mod which let you snap the display to the wall perfectly... a bit of an OCD myself... I want everything to be organized perfectly so every time I put down an PA storage, I need to make sure it's perfectly aligned with the wall and floor, the same with the next one, and it pains my ASS... Is it possible for you to add that function to this mod?
I love these, and while I'd love a fake-wood bakelite plating on one of them, I can understand your reasoning and honestly, I'm just glad for more power armor displays.
Well, damn. 6 days ago Damanding and Terry Beer put out "Prewar Power Armor Displays", grabbed that one and fiddled with LO to make it work. (minor add on conflict) Then today you put out this great mod and i'm like, "Great! more PA stands. Will go great with the other 3-4 versions I have. Lots of choices! Woot!" Sadly though it won't. Yours and the above mentioned one conflict so imma have to keep yours, or theirs, as a standby for another toon to use in a playthrough but NO WAY am I getting rid of either. They are both too damn good to remove. Thanks for making it and sharing with us... and raising my blood pressure. Just what an old fart like me needs!!! Seriously though, Thanks. Great Mod.
Hmm, could you let me know the conflict with this other mod? This one is fairly standalone and only relies on specific vanilla records, so I'm guessing this other mod must make vanilla edits to the Contraptions workshop forms. Which is... undesirable for compatibility on their part. lol
Not sure about that. Their mod says that, "This mod requires Settlement Menu Manager, Contraptions DLC, Nuka World DLC, and Far Harbor DLC and it adds an icon to Main Menu bar and a magazine to pick up to activate it. Basic stuff. Other than that I haven't a clue why the conflict. All I know is I load em both, start game, crashes during load screen. Now I had a conflict with their ESL and ESP versions with an ESP add on in my LO but found and fixed that. With yours, if both loaded, crash. One or the other, no crash. Beyond that I don't know. Checked them in FO4Edit and it shows no conflict either. Checked yours against LO as well, no conflict. Only with theirs. Sorry.
I definitely know better than to edit vanilla records Neeher. I can't figure out how our mod can be incompatible with Videos of the Wasteland either as our mod is all newly created records and asset files, no vanilla edits at all. I haven't loaded Videos in xEdit to check yet, been too lazy.
Ok I got curious enough to check. Not a single mesh, texture, material or script file with the same name as one of ours as I expected. I didn't read the scripts but they're all VotW specifically named, no vanilla script edits. The video mod DOES modify about 10 vanilla records, half of which are television activators and the other half the matching television constructible objects. But our mod doesn't touch the televisions. All other records in the video esm file were new records. Of course xEdit showed zero conflicts since we have 0 records in common. Based on my research there is ZERO reason these mods should or could possibly conflict in any way. I've not looked at this mod, but knowing Neeher's quality I expect to find no possible conflicts there either. So my guess is user specific gremlins from file corruption or some third party interaction. *shrug*
Evening, Mayor. Ah, Cybordania did mention you Damanding, when I read the first comment I only saw "Terry Beer". Not knowing who that was, I didn't really look into it lol. Damanding doesn't make such mistakes. But yeah, as figured there wouldn't be any conflicts so I'm left to think that it may just be a save game error. lol
After seeing a comment on our mod page about it not being the main mod but rather an optional file that causes the issue I went to look at that and discovered the issue. The VotW author got bit by the CK's tendency to pack vanilla script files that aren't required for the mod and didn't notice they got added. My guess is the vanilla script files are outdated versions. Our mod doesn't include them but must reference one of them via the power station workbench script. To fix it remove the following files from the VotWStarlightDriveIn - Main.BA2 archive using Archive2: -Scripts/ObjectReference.pex -Scripts/Form.pex -Scripts/ScriptObject.pex
