How do you add custom sights to weapons? Like, do you just copy an existing sight OMOD, replace the meshes and textures with your own files, and replace the keyword to make it list under the modifications for the target weapon sight category? I can't find a good guide.
Well, first I'm making adjustments to scope mesh in nifscope so its scale and position match the weapon. Easiest way to do it is just use weapon's existing scope as a reference. I am assuming you know about texture and material files and how to set them up. Then you open esp in FO4Edit, find the existing scope OMOD, right-click it, copy as new entry into new esp with unique FormID, change it's mesh path, any parameters you want, then you should copy COBJ and miscmod as well, name it, and change FormIDs its referring to.
