Hello guys! I would just like to update you on a few things. First, I stopped making mods for Fallout 4, don't worry I will not take my files down, they will stay here forever, so you are always free to use them.
The main reason I am doing this, I want to commit my free time (it's pretty limited) , to developing my own video game. That might take me 5, 6, 7 years, however long, even if it doesn't get completed, I'm completely fine with that. I just want to learn everything that goes into making one.
Why I'm doing this? Well, while modding Fallout 4, I've discovered quite a few flaws in the engine, or better said, limitations that limited my ideas. I don't want that, I want to be free to make whatever I want, and starting fresh, with a blank slate gives me just that.
I had big plans for modding this game, but while I was getting more and more into it, I just decided it was enough.
I will probably document my development process on a blog, or maybe even a vlog, when that happens I'll share a link here so you guys can follow along :)
Ok I mite be the only stupid person here with the most stupid of question's but were do I install this to in 3DMax is it 'My Documents' or in the 3DMax install folder?
There's a mod that allows you to remove the dead body from a power armor frame, but it uses a fade to black. It would be really awesome if you could bend down, plug in your pip boy, run some code, then the power armor stands up, and opens allowing the rag doll of the dead raider to fall out the back.
I always wanted a melee close combat power armor, if someone brought out new animations when it rips raiders in half and stuff would be amazing. With special melee power armor only weapons like drills and grinders.
No chance. It requires Havok Content tools in order to export the animations. The only version you can find and download on the internet works for max 2014/15
I installed HCT for 3ds Max 2016 and it works perfectly. Just select the 2015 version when you're installing HCT. And on a side note, Zgabuterimon, there's already a power armor rig available on Nexus. There is also a supermutant rig available, but not on here. Still, very great work and thank you for sharing this amazing rig for animators to use!
If you're willing to take some suggestions on what rigs to make, I would suggest making one for the assaultron, or the Mr. Handy, we don't have any for them. Thanks, again!
Thank's for the quick replay and thank you for sharing your animation rig. I think I will still give it a go with 3d max2016 as TheRealRufgt said Havok works on it. Thanks TheRealRufgt for telling us about the other rig's! I did find them on the LL site......
Really? That's good that it works on 2016, didn't try because I have 2015. About the other Rig, I never found it when I was searching for one when I made my weapon mods. So I decided to make one myself, for myself :) ... I'm mainly sharing this, because I'm sure someone would find some use with it.
Edit: I found all the rigs you mentioned. But I made this power armor Rig before that one, I just didn't release it because I thought it wasn't good enough for release. Silly me :D
Definitely need an assaultron rig just imagine all the robot stuff you could mix and match just by animating those assaultron legs. Also the servitron mod could definitely use that kind of rig.
Prehaps. But I made this mostly so that weapon mods I make have everything done, that includes all the animations a player can use. Robots, aren't really my thing. But you never know :)
Yes! I've wanted this technology for a long time! One of my fave mods lacks 3rd person animations, so it is my hope that it will get some move-y love from skilled people with time and good-will on their hands. Thank you uploader!

Take care,

Could you please convert the Rig file to .fbx or .obj?
