What if i use this wit ha ReShade folder from another mod? im talking about enrai reshade in particular. it doesn't have a sweetFX folder, so if i just used your dxgi.dll would i be able to keep their lighting with your crispy HD?
It might work if you dropped the SweetFX folder from this mod into the ReShade directory, but the lighting of the other mod wouldn't look exactly the same. If it worked it might have an interesting look!
so the game won't utilize both a reshade AND sweetFX at the same time? or is reshade kind of like a superceding folder that uses both sweetFX and other elements? Thanks for all the responses btw. I don't know much about lighting mods as i have only recently started getting them (because before i was too lazy to learn about how they work)
Yes ReShade can use multiple post processing effects from different mods simultaneously. To combine mod presets you'd have to see which effects the different presets used and then merge them together, in the way you like, under ReShade. So it is possible. I'll upload another file that disables the lighting effects. You could try to combine that with the mod you have.
Alright, just deleted everything they had in SweetFX and replaced it with your stuff. Hope it turns out having their lightign and your effects. Fingers crossed.
I'm trying to merge it with the Enrai Reshade btw if you were curious. It's pretty heavy duty.
well, it didn't crash, but everything looked low quality somehow and i found the screen difficult to look at. I can't quite place it, but it was physically uncomfortable to look at. Kind of like when something is slightly blurry and you feel like yoru eyes aren't focusing right, but it wasn't blurry, at least not at a noticable level. It's probably all the effect they have. Under ReShade they have Common, CustomFX, GemFX, McFX, and SweetFX as well as .cfg and .undef files that have _settings after all the effect type.
Either way thanks for making the light version. i'll see what i can do with it regarding that reshade to see if i can merge them correctly, but i'm not sure i'll be able to without learning more about how lighting mods are made.
Ok, final update. I, instead of deleteing their sweetFX contents jsut merge yours with his and also put in the sweet.fx file into the fallout 4 directory. It now looks beautiful. 10/10 would reccomend getting the light version of this and the enrai version and merging them like that. Thanks very much again for your support and responses.

After playing for quite some time with the Mod enabled i have another suggestion:
The Image gets realy Dark compared to the shiny glimmering Vanilla Settings. The downside is that you gain a LOT of Detail due to the Hd-rization but at the same time it gets harder to actualy see the Details because they get so Dark. I worked around by manualy adjusting some Settings in my AMD Display Settings in the Catalyst control Center/Crimson. Made it less Dark that way but i was thinking about something implented in the Mod that could do that. Contrast and Color Saturation is fine so far.
Everyone has a different monitor or TV with different image settings/processing, so no mod/preset is ever "one size fits all". I'll check it again on my Calibrated TV. Its set for full 0-255 RGB so it's essentially a big monitor. I played for a bit on it before and never noticed any "black crush", if that's what you're referring to, but I might need to catch the right scenes. I'll definitely look into it and see what I can do. Thanks!
Walls looking much better Rocks looking much better Clothes looking much better Corn looking better Pipboy Looks way better and realistic
Could go on like that all Day.
Even the Map Looks better, no joke.
Tremendous impact on the Image Quality in a very Positive way of meaning.
Fps went from 53.9 to 54.1 back and fort while toggling the Mod on and off with the "Scroll lock" Key, so this doesnt effect my Performance at all i would say.
No downsides, improved the Game for me. Awesome Job @ Seabass901
Only Suggestion to the Creator: The Facial Skin could need some more finetuning to make the npc´s a >little< less ugly and dirty looking. I suggest to reduce the "hd-rization" of Skin to somewhere around 75% of the actual Setting.
You might have the sharpness of your monitor set too high. I tested this on 2 different monitors and a 65in HDTV which has been calibrated and there is no perceivable contouring or haloing on my end. Sharpness on your monitor should be set all the way at 0 for many/most monitors, but certainly never over 50 or half way.
looks awesome, makes the bleak world nice and stark, showing off how much of a mess there is after bombs and 200 years of weathering and much scavenging. It really brings out how the world is set up. Thanks for the work
I'm about to remove interior fog with this mod, i think it'll amplify the effect more http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/2628/?
when you say "remove screen blurriness" i assume you're talking about the screen as a whole and not separate textures?
my problem with textures is that they don't seem to load the higher res textures most of the time... the sanctuary bridge vanilla is smudged to an almost single color... with 4k texture some wood looks 1k, some 512 and some the old smudge (256?).... i don't suppose your mod will help with that?
*edit... no it does not... the textures that do load properly and the game as a whole do look better with your mod so thanks
Yes, I am referring to the screen as a whole. This sharpens everything, as that was what was needed to achieve the effect I was going for. Some of the textures included in the game are pretty rough and unoptimized. This won't help that. It will however still apply all of the same effects to them making them look much better. I use this in combination with some texture mods to help things out. Thanks for checking it out and commenting!

Any Idea on that?

I mean it is clearly not Oversharpened in any way because this would obviously drop the Image Quality.
