Am I just stupid? I go to the marker for the quest, it's above Bluejay, I talk to him and none of the options advance the quest, nor does he have this gun in his shop. I'd rather not use consoles just for one gun.
That's because the alternative firing sound is also really weak.
You can replace it yourself for the one which sounds better for you if you got some different one. You just have to open all the folder until the firing sound WAV. files. Then copy the new ones in there and cut the other ones out. (but remember it has to be a loop sounding file for automatic) Then you have to rename those files exactly like the exising ones was named - for example like "WPN_UMP_Fire_Auto_660RPM".
Importand note: You have to switch exacly all files which existing for one firemode (single, auto, silenced single and silenced auto depending), do not add more or less, as also if you do not switch every file you will get the old sound for the specific fire mode. For example you have switched out the 660RPM and the 780RPM, but nothing for single shot it will sound like the old sound for single shot.
For example I was downloading some of the gunsound mods, listened which one was good and fit and used those WAV files. Preferably I was choosing one which got all the sounds covered, like 660 and 780 rpm as also single shot sound. Just the silnced sound I ditched since I personally don't use silencers and it doesn't matter for me if silenced sound is weak.
Thaot sounds good. But i have no idea how to do it,i am new to Fallout 4 because of the Tv show(yes i am one of those).I dont know how to even open those files. But thanks for the explanation
Please release it if you can. This mod author is amazing the only gripe i have is that very few of his/her mods have the option to be semi-automatic and i hate using full auto especially on survival difficulty since ammo is pretty scarce.
Had an issue where the mission didn't start. I technically have 2 of this mod installed. Issue was the mod in my load order from before was not activated, so despite being in my new mod manager, it wasn't active
Is there a modpack with more than 100 weapons for fallout, that collects all these weapons and includes them in 1 ? I would like it if there is because installing more than 70 weapons manually .... :/
This gun's damage is 10 above the base damage for the MK18 rifle by FX0x1. Here's a quick guide on how to adjust the damage 1: Download and open FO4edit 2: select only the HK UMP mod (Start by right-clicking and selecting the 'select none' option if you're new to Xedit. This saves time) 3: In the UMP module, go down to the "Weapon" tab and select the UMP there 4: In the search bar on the right, search "Damage" 5: There will be a variable marked "Damage-Base." The default for this is 40. I recommend setting it between 26 and 28. The MP5 by Fx0x01 has a base damage of 23, and the MK18 has a base damage of 30, so this is a nice in-between.
Please note that this method does not work for every mod the same way, but FX codes their weapons the same so it should work the same for any that they've published

Kind of a rhetorical question really, but it is annoying.
