    Version 1.0
Behemoth weapons do 35%-50% higher damage. Health increased by 45%-65% depending on the type. Damage and energy resistance increased by 20%-25% by type.

Much stronger Behemoth version added to optional files. This makes Behemoths almost twice as strong than vanilla Fallout 4. Per request.

Stronger Behemoths with seeker disabled on the boulders is under optional files. Per request.

Experimental Behemoth sizes uploaded. Unsure if the size changes will work or not. Use at your own risk. Under Misc. files. It is probably a good idea to have a fallback save in case the changes cause issues. Better safe than sorry. Per request.

Added Stronger Behemoth ESP version for those who don't want ESL files.

Experimental size version changed to version 1.0 after further testing. No need to reinstall. The same file, only updated version # to indicate testing has occurred with good results.

Removed .esm properties from .esp file. Now, it should sort properly.

All versions updated after additional test runs. Strength enhanced 1.5x - 3.0x depending on the version. micro adjustment to movement and size variation. Swan is added to all versions.

    Future updates:

Please see the Improved Ecosystem Series article for the current roadmap.

why is this mod a master?
I guess i cant use this because it is being forced to the top of my load order for some reason...and my other mods will just overwrite it.

What other mods are you using and which version of the mod is acting as a master? ESL or ESP?  This is the first time I'm hearing about this.

@tekmage It's actually better to just make plugins as lite esl WITHOUT changing the extension itself to .esl.

This way the mod can still remain at the bottom of the load order by maintaining it's .esp extension while also being flagged as an esl.

This is what mod authors normally do and/or should be doing. A lot of FO4 mod authors unfortunately still get it wrong and just make their whole plugin extension changed to esl.

Rename the .esl extension to .esp and you will be able to sort the order.

Many don't understand that esl plugins (not espfe) are loaded at the top of the load order automatically, right below esm plugins. Nobody should be using esl, but should be marking plugins as esl (espfe) using xEdit.

Might be because I am using better locational damage, but, they still seem insanely weak to me. I pretty much dropped the Behemoth by where you find Paladin Brandis hiding out with nothing but a pipe rifle and MAYBE a quarter of the mag... And it is still chambered in .38... And I play on Survival. Dx... The damage is awesome, but they are not tanky enough for me. :(

Ur a king. The Behemoths in Fallout 4 are the biggest joke. Way to noob friendly. They are smaller, way slower and way weaker then the ones from Fallout 3.

I remember trying to put down a Behemoth at Level 10 with a hunting rifle and a couple grenades. No chance at all. Felt like shooting a giant with a bow like in Skyrim.

I dont know why Bethesda likes to make strong creatures weak and boring, but i was really dissappointed.

Thanks for u making this mod.

Hello, I installed many mods and so far I don't know what the difference is between ESL and ESP, I know that VORTEX works for ESP, does it also work for ESL? XD

Yes, ESL works fine in Vortex. ESL doesn't count towards your mod limit. ESP takes up one slot.

Hey, Just curious if anyone else has had an issue with this and Super Mutant Redux making the Behemoths Friendly towards the PC and Associated faction? (Found and used this mod first, loved how it changed the SM Behemoths. Was trying out SM Redux to help out the random Super Mutant spawns when using War of the Commonweath.)

Unless the latest patch did something strange, this mod wouldn't cause that behavior. It was working fine when tested when the .138 patch released. Possibly mixing and matching with similar mods is causing the issue or uninstalling/disabling mod(s) caused an issue in your save file? Due to my current PC less situation, there is not a way for me to test anything.

Gotcha, was just curious. I went ahead and uninstalled the Redux Mod, tbh it really didn't do what I was hoping for. Feels like the only change was the knock off Nightkin that got added, but all the SM still die relatively quickly and doesn't seem to change them from their patchwork weapons. Always kinda hated how the SM were supposed to "be the future" as they love to shout out, but they're using friggin wood planks and pipe weapons, not to mention their raggedy clothes.

I do think the Supermutants using pipe weapons and wearing rags is an unfortunate side effect of the poor decision making that is readily evident now with Fallout 76 release. I really thought Bethesda would step up and give them suitable metal/leather mad max style armor and better weapon usage.

I think that Bethesda that actually cared about their fans are, for the most part, gone.

Also, the mutants look "stupid", in the past titles they look far more intimidating with their teeth, face, and outfits. They look like dumb cavemen now, Bethesda is ruining fallout altogether slowly. I don't understand what's so hard about taking aspects from 3 and 4 and past games and improving upon them listening to their fan base. The story, map, and details for 4 were pretty disappointing if you ask me compared to 3 and NV

Yeah, their appearance in Fallout 4 has been bugging me for a long while. I've been tinkering with blender and I have an art tablet now so I'll look into possibly changing that next year when I can do so. Unfortunately, real-life takes precedence over modding.

I'm actually trying to figure out what mod it is that caused the Behemoths to be friendly, because I find it hilarious. At first when I went to Swan and when he spotted me instead of attacking, he just stod up and looked down at me as he was trying to figure what I was.
It has been very helpful since I use the Red Rocket settlements and none of my settlers even look up when he wanders by. I just have to make sure not to block his path. I get more out of watching them lumber around than fighting them.
So when trying out a new combination of mods I really wanted to figure out how to get that effect.

In FO4edit, there is a setting to set factions. I suppose you could get the effect you want by changing it.

the moment when you realise you dont have enough ammo to take on an ancient behemoth because of the increase in health and you have to hide and wait till it goes away

FYI: Super Mutant Redux does most of the same changes to make behemoth's more formidable and also includes disabling seeking boulders.

I didn't want reliance on armorkeywords and all DLCs. I also didn't want to change the super mutants, only behemoths. This also isn't a 720 MB download.
I think Super Mutant Redux is a great mod for people who want a complete overhaul but it also isn't .esl which is useful for those using a lot of mods.
The description page is pretty clear on why I made this.

Yeah, but x mod does this, y mod does that, and z mod is nearly as good as t mod. people, seriously, this guy made a mod for free and took the time to share it with you. Download it if you like it, if you don't like it go download x, y, z and t mod right away, no need for sharing your opinion. If you have nothing nice to say about the mod or you like another mod better, go get it and leave the guy alone willya?
