I'm not updating this mod anymore.

This is due to me not being interested in Fallout 4.

Someone else is free to use my work and fix/expand this whatever without asking me for permission

Latest reports are that this mod still works perfectly fine

    THIS MOD WILL NOT WORK.
The only edit contained by this mod is changing the "AbReduceConditionRate" effect's magnitude from 1.00 to 0.25, in object effect "EnchPA_Abilities", which means that actors wearing power armor will have their "ConditionRate" reduced by 0.25.

Sadly this does not change the durability of power armors. The reasons are:

    • "AbReduceConditionRate" effect has a condition selector "Subject.GetIsID(Player)<>1", which means it only affects non-player actors.
    • "ConditionRate" seems to have nothing to do with armor's health. I guess it actually refers to the regeneration rate of body limbs, according to relative records such as magic effect FortifyLimbRegenRate[0005DD99].
    • I've tested the damage received by power armors from many kinds of sources, such as my own grenade, attack dog's bite, raiders' pipe guns and even deathclaw's attack. Whether vanilla or with this mod installed, the damage is pretty consistent.
What this mod actually does seems to be "increase the limb regeneration rate of non-player actors wearing power armors by 0.75".

It'd be good to have one global setting to make all power armors more durable at once, which unfortunately does not seem to exist. An alternative solution is to increase every armor's health, which is what Actually Durable Power Armor did. But obviously this will conflict with many other power armor mods, and won't affect non-vanilla power armors. Maybe scripts can solve this, but that's beyond my ken.

That explains why my brand new X-01 MK V is already at 15 damage taken from one radroach

Does this also work for Power Armour mods such as the X-02 and Hellfire?

I think its not working on mod added Power armors. I just saw an X01 from an enclave mod get torn to shreds very quickly.
If someone can confirm this or deny it pls let us know in the comments!

Will this work on NPCs too? Also is there a 100% less damage on the armor pieces? I know i will still get damage its just that i  don't like seeing my pieces falloff  after so many hits. Also i don't like npcs running around with missing pieces as well.

yes in my expereince this mod still works and also works on NPCs.
Keep in my mind as NPC seem to break armor at 3 or 4 times normal rate this mod reducing armor breakage adding will make NPCs break armor at rates near identical to the player's armor prior to this mod.

Seems to still work after next gen update. No visual indication of more health numbers but a significant increase in durability after a few gun fights experienced

So we will not see a greater number of Health Points per Power Armor part but the HPs we do have will simply not ablate as quickly?

Is the above a true statement?

    EDIT:
    Been testing this mod.
HPs are same as vanilla, but I put myself into some firefights and armor came out with minimal damage.
So I would cautiosly say it still works.

      Your welcome.

      Hope you enjoy this mod.
Since then I been in more firefights and my confidence that it reduced armor breaking from firefights had been increased to something close to certainty.
Noticably less health loss on armor form firefights than before.
I have also paired this mod with "legendary effects" and I add "almost unbreakable" legendary to all my armor pieces as well. This advertises another 4 fold increase in the health points of each armor piece (but only measured from the base stat)
Since I usually take my armors at least to "e", if not "f", improvements of my real HP improvement factor is something like 2.7.
So I have 2.7 times more HP from legendary and my health losses are reduced by this mod by presumably a facgor of 4.. So on occasion I still need to go in for some repairs but only after many firefights.

This mod only makes power armor more durable by making it take less damage to it's durability, correct? Because the description on Mod Organizer says it makes the player take less damage while wearing power armor. Is the MO description outdated? I have the latest version of this mod, the 75% version.

Ok maybe im wrong but i really think this only affects power armor if you are not wearing it (only the one from other NPCs). First the object effect affected has the condition that it is NOT equal to ID Player. Second i tested it with changing the amount to 5 and to 0.005 and there was no noticable difference....
If you are searching for a mod that does affect your own armor: "Durable and Realistic Power Armors V3" works.
