For my first mod I figured I would do something easy (sarcasm) like add selectable damage to all the vanilla weapons. This all started from reverse engineering a bunch of mods trying to figure out how to do this for my own purpose, but I decided to tackle it as an actual full mod. I really appreciate the effort that the FO4Edit team has put in. The CK is a nightmare to work with compared to FO4Edit.
Sorry the description is so long in Vortex's mod section. I have no idea how to make it smaller.
This MOD Vanilla is a TRULY hidden. Had to really search for what I wanted to see in my playthrough. Such as playing vanilla without changing broad of weapons. Only specfic weapon that I wanted to 'change'. This MOD does it. Is it perfect? No.
Vallden has long since not done anything to this mod since is considered 'complete' status? Hope to see more option to changing items vanilla. Vallden has improved my enjoyment.
Any possibility to add even more damage ? I'm using locational damage, armor resistance, some ghouls & creatures health buff mods. exemple : 10 shots of a rifle dealing 400 damage to kill a deathclaw. 3 shots of a pistol dealing 200 damage to kill heavy armored gunner. No armor is almost 1 shot 1 kill. All of it in survival difficulty, ( I'm not masochist but...)
This is a great idea would it be possible to make it work with weapon mods too ?. Would solve a long problem of mod weapons all have different damage ratios. Thanks for sharing.
Not 100% sure what you mean. If you are talking about the vanilla weapon modifications, my mod stacks on top of those. Works like this: Adding Improved Laser Barrel (ILB) (Base Damage x ILB Modifier) + Base Damage = Total Damage (The damage number you see for the weapon). + My mod (Base Damage x Modifier) + Total Damage = New Total Damage
However, I suspect you are talking about weapons added to the game by other modders, like the LAER. In this case, each weapon would need to have it's own .esp to add the feature. Most user added weapons already do what my mod does for their individual weapons. I have thought about trying to identify what added weapons don't have damage modifiers, like the LAER, and make a patch for them. That would be a completely separate mod. If you have a particular weapon in mind, I can make a simple video showing how to make this mod.
Hi Vallden ! yes you should really make a patch. You know that every player has different load order and so different weapon mod. Some may want it to maintain balance and other for godly weapons. I am pretty sure its a lot of work so sorry for asking. Now you proposed to make a tutorial video on "how to do it yourself" , this is also a great idea. For personnal reason , i am using Horizon and id like to rebalance some weapon , but only on my side and not the whole levelled list. Hope you can find some time to help us more , cause i am pretty sure it can be a successfull mod and the modders community will like and endorse your hard work. Finally , in any case , thanks for sharing this original mod with us. VERY USEFUL and working like a charm.
What I want to know is - how did you make the DMG modifier to show up on HMR and Lever Action Rifle... I have made myself a similar mod which I use as a master to add DMG modifiers to a bunch of weapon mods. They all work well, but I can't get HMR to work. My mod works with the Radium Rifle, bot not with the Lever Action Rifle. Can you point me to some xEdit tutorial? The one you are using perhaps? There are so planty of them... and they vary in quality and usefulness...
EDIT: Found the culprit. STG60.esp has records of hanndmade rifle. Those records are overwriting all others edits as those are the last to load. Shame on me for not loading all my plugins into xEdit right after discovering those issues.
easily one of the best mods on my mod list. makes the minigun, and SMG totally viable, and you arent left with option that only make the weapons OP. just great work. truly appreciated. endorsed.
I am the Mighty Nine and I approve of this mod Because FINALLY something that increases the damage of Righteous Authority and makes it more like a weapon that a BOS Sentinel would have and it improves the Minigun Now when I pull it out and shout at Raiders "Come to Ole Painless" I really do feel like Jesse Ventura
I just checked with FO4Edit and the only conflict is Atom's Judgement. If you use that weapon, put the Legendary Framework below mine in the load order at it will be fine. I did a quick check in game with a few weapons and they were fine so I don't believe you will have any issues beyond Atom's Judgement.

Thank you, Vallden!
Now, just wondering if someday will have a 'modifable' for every vanllia items?

I hope this answers your question.
