   Maybe combine this with a security terminal as an upgrade to the guard post? It seems a bit strong to get free defence this way.

   Is there any chance you can release this as an alternative camera for the Settlement Defense CC mod?  Ceiling mounted cameras would be useful...

   Can the cameras show u what they see like the institute can from a terminal?
   What purpose do these do hickies serve besides the 2 points defense?

      They are just a small static defense boost. They don't actually show anything on a monitor or terminal. That's where roleplaying comes in, lol. I needed something like this for my playthrough and thought I'd share. Just uploaded some optional files for more defense points.
