So from what I recall you're gonna download the BSA Browser that is linked on the mod page and this is what helps you grab the files from your 76 Data folder. All the files you gotta grab are listed under "Required files from Fallout 76". The first bunch are under "interface.ba2" and the second bunch are from "sounds.01.bas"
Go into your Fallout 4 Data folder and physically make the file path for these files from 76 to tell Fallout 4 to read these files like Fallout 76 would. By that I mean make a new folder called "programs" in your Fallout 4 Data folder and put all those files you grabbed from 76 that start with programs/ in that folder (programs/nukatapper.swf programs/nukatapperassets.swf programs/wastelad.swf ...) then do that with each folder for each file path.
watch out for the 2 .xml files program/xml/nukatapperconfig.xml and program/xml/wasteladconfig.xml
for those two, make a new folder titled "xml" in the new program folder you made, then put those 2 .xml files (program/xml/nukatapperconfig.xml and program/xml/wasteladconfig.x) in there. Don't leave them in your programs, move completely to that new xml folder you made within programs. You will get a gnar error if you try to boot up wastelad without this step.
For the last step, go back to your data folder and go to sound > FX > ui > PipBoy and make a new folder titled "game" . Then in this new game folder, make 2 new folders titled "nukatapper" and "wastelad" and place all the sound files in their respective folders. That way it will follow the folder path laid out in the description.
Fallout4/Data/sound/FX/ui/PipBoy/game/ nukatapper or wastelad
Test at a Chem bench under utility.

Just follow the list under "Required files from Fallout 76", it will describe to you each file path the game is expecting. Make a few folders with the correct names and spelling, put the files in, and you should be good to go
I would download this, but there's literally just no way in hell I'll be buying fallout 76 I'm sorry, I just dont think that's a safe investment, I do appreciate the mod though
Congratulations, you made me buy Fallout 76. First time I purchase a game (which I have no intention on playing) specifically for a mod...thank god for steam refunds.
i've managed to get nuka tapper to work in fallout 4 but when i try Wastelad to work the pipboy menu shows "Quit Game? xxxxxxxxx" i recall downloading and extracting all the files needed from 76 but i don't know if just Nuka Tapper works with this mod, besides i had problems installing the game and i`m nearly finished in installing the free trial again, hope it works
Same here. Nuka Tapper works. Wastelad shows "Quit Game? xxxxxxxxx" and freezes. The game is english only too. Is there something missing for other languages?
I did. It didn't help a ton, doesn;t really tell you how to get them, just what the needed files are that need obtained. However, I have eventually figured out how to do it myself with help from some nice people on Discord!
Anyways, thanks for making this! These games will be sweet!! If i can figure out where to put the files. There is no programs folder.
So, I just got 76 due to the free weekend thing, and used BAE to extract the files and stuff, then I decided to convert the mod to ESL because my mod list is getting up in numbers, and after all of that, it works perfectly. Even Wastelad, which a few people were having problems with. Remember people, there's 10 files (2 nukatapper, 8 wastelad) in "programs\," 2 files (one each) in "programs\xml\," and the entire 2 folders from "sound\fx\ui\pipboy\game\" Overall my only complaints are the super annoying anti-piracy measure (but I understand you don't want legal trouble), and also I think it would be cooler if instead of craftable they were actually findable, maybe in a vault and the concord speakeasy? Or the Shamrock Taphouse? Even without the custom models? Just a thought. Points off for the install process, but, as they say: it just works.
so where do i put those files?, the description is not very specific unlike appalachia radio, however none of them seems to be working and yes, i placed the files in their intended folders, so i do'nt know how to install the hologames, since when i craft them i select them via pipboy and then the game gives me a straight ctd
I mean, you just put the files in the normal loose file layout, so the "programs" and "sound" folders are in the "data" folder. So you have "Fallout 4\Data\Programs\" with 10 .swf files and the "xml" folder, with 2 .xml files in it, in it, and you also have "Fallout 4\Data\Sound\fx\ui\pipboy\game\" which has the "nukatapper" and the "wastelad" folders in it, which each have like a zillion .xwm and .wav files in them.
ok, it happened to be a wrong install of the mod, got working nuka tapper but not wastelad, it displays on pipboy "quit game? xxxxxx" or something like that, same to appalachia radio not playing music although i put the files in their respective folder
I'm glad you got it working, but lol how on earth did you put the .xml's in the wrong folder? I'm genuinely really confused as to how so many people are messing up the install, or have no idea where to put the files. People, you just extract the files from 76, which should automatically extract into the same folders they were already in, but on the desktop/wherever (if they don't, the program you're using sucks), and then you put those 2 folders ("Programs" and "Sound") in 4's "Data" folder. Simple. Don't touch the file structure, it's already how it should be. Just pretend extracting the files from 76 is the same as when you extract a .zip of any other mod. Please mod creator, add something along these lines to the description so people quit having to ask.

2. Download it.
3. Get the files you need.
4. Get a refund and uninstall it.
5. Profit.
