There is an equal chance of any one of the five boxes showing up, so occasionally you might get the same box in the same area. I'm not sure if the boxes will change textures again with respawns. I didn't change the crafting, so they will still scrap for two wood and one nuclear material.
There are, according to the Creation Kit, 60 game boxes scattered throughout the game, plus a random chance to have them with vendors and containers via the leveled lists.
The highest concentration of them is in the East Boston Preparatory School, which has five in one cell.
So downloading this does cause the issue with Alternate Settlements it's trying to make me disable that mod bc now it's Redundant while this mod is active while downloading your mod through vortex so now the only way to download your mod is manually so that I don't see this issue. I have had this issue with another mod an had to do the same to use both mods which haven't had a issue with them both being active they just couldn't be active at the same time on vortex. Not sure if you have a fix for that for others but that is the only way I can fix it myself.
Edit: So downloaded some more of your mods an a lot of them are having that issue with Alternate Settlements so got to download most or all of your mods manually.
any chance we could get a display for the games? :O all the toys and stuff i collect can be placed on a functional display shelf but these have to get put into containers :(
It's a nice idea, but unfortunately beyond my skill-set. There are a couple of mods that allow you to precisely place items and lock them in place so they're not accidentally knocked about though. Offhand I can't remember what they're called, but they're here on the Nexus.
Ketaros has a mod that adds 100+ Vault-tec endorsed board-games to the basegame and all DLC areas. it also comes with a stand for those games - and there are mods adding other stands for those games too. But they're hand-placed and not found in random loot-containers.
I'm definitely adding this mod too tho - can never have enough games in the post-apoc world :D
So this does add these games into the game so each one you find is a different board game? Is that done using a script? I want to add random items to my game for other stuff but not sure how to do it.
Nice job! Only 60 games in the Commonwealth? Wow, that doesn't seem like a lot. I figured 3 times as many, at least.. Was 'Uranium Rush' an actual game? Wow, that's too perfect. I'm full-up on ESP slots, would you consider releasing them also as an assortment of replacer skins, for Blast radius? Congrats on the 'Mod Community' promotion! -THX-
60 games that Bethesda placed, there's more with the LL.
Uranium Rush is an actual game, if you look up 50's & 60's board games you'd be surprised at some of the bizarre games that came out then dealing with the nuclear age.
It's pretty simple to just exchange the textures. Use the material and mesh files for the Blast Radius box and pick whatever _d texture's you want and rename them to BlastRadiusBoardGame_d.dds and BlastRadiusBoardGamePrewar_d.dds. The .esp wouldn't be needed, but the game would still list it as 'blast radius board game'.
Sounds like a Gvt propaganda tool, to get more young prospectors.. hmm Technically I know how, but is just a suggestion for expanding your mod & community convenience. -Thx!
This is completely great. I found a battleship game somewhere. Cool. Might I suggest giving each game different junk components? Operation could have circuitry, Twister would just be plastic... Maybe varying weights and values too. Then it would be even more completely great.
You did an awesome job on these textures! I made my own versions of board games a wile back but I did not release them on Nexus, You might want to be careful using exact art off the originals. There are copyright laws that could get you in trouble. I don't really care, I just don't want you to have to deal with a copyright claim.
