If it seems like I'm ignoring bugs with this it's because I plan to do a redux version sometime by the end of the year, as I do patches and updates for several of my mods. I'll probably still clean up this old version, because there will be some advantages over the new one, but it isn't high priority at the moment.
Is there any chance, to maybe merge it with the Radium Rifle? Like make the Radium rifle's parts like reciever seperately as a weapon mod, so we could switch between the generic and the radium rifle? I could turn the generic rifle to a radium rifle, and the radium rifle back to the generic?
Heyman, i love your mod, i think this should´ve been the standard "radium rifle" in far harbor. i have a suggestion to make, maybe you can make a compatibility patch for Daks "Attachment pack" since it makes the normal radium so much more customizable, could be a easy mod to make and bring this simple yet beautiful mod to another level c:
I second this! The attachments added to te Radium Rifle are an absolute blast but unfortunately they can´t be used on this here mod. Would be awesome to get a patch for the Attachment Pack!
It's been 3 years since the release of this mod, you sure have learned more. Do you know now how to fix that seam at the side of the receiver? I couldn't fix. It seems flat in Blender but outside this bug happens.
Take a look at the shine. The mesh is ok but whenever I import/export to Blender, it looks like this in Nifskope and in game. I'm not sure but I think it is related to UV mapping. I unwrapped the UV, it was a mess, but I have the impression that the seam was gone.
This weapon disassembled itself when reloading in Power Armor 3rd person (instead of removing the mag), this is a bug that's happening to many gun - but considering this is based on radium rifle, this animation issue shouldn't happen. It's possible that you linked the animation wrong in some way, is it possible that you fix this?
Not sure if anybody is still wondering, but maybe it'll help someone. I found out what was making the STS patch to not work, and why the hell duplicate combat scopes started appearing in literally every weapon whenever I wanted to modify their scopes. The STS patch for the carbine version (not sure if it's the case with the other patches, but probably is) doesn't have a dependency on the main file, so what happens is all the see-through scopes that the patch adds is pointing to nothing, so it ends up showing in every weapon that has a scope category. I fixed it by adding the OMOD keyword from the main file, after adding it as a dependency for the patch, to the Object Modification records of the patch, pretty simple fix if you know your way around xEdit. Hopefully the author comes back to this and puts up the fix.
Started a new playthrough and the carbine variant popping up has been a nice addition. I think it has a conflict with see through scopes that I really hope can be fixed, and it would be really cool if it used the vanilla assault rifle muzzles or something similar instead of the combat rifle/shotgun ones, just to be a bit more distinctive, but all around a great mod.
I'll be looking into that compatibility issue with see-through scopes in the next couple weeks. Will hopefully have a compatibility patch out by the end of the month.
I'd like to use some different muzzles. I thought about using the Cutts from the SMG, but one rule I wanted to follow with this is that all the attachments should appear to be the same thing on both the new weapon and the Radium Rifle, and I want to edit the Radium Rifle as little as possible.
I'll consider it though, as I agree that they don't look particularly good.
I guess I suggest the assault rifle muzzles because I'm using the carbine version, and think they could look pretty good on both. The wrapped suppressor from the levergun and its compensator could also be good options, as would the Cutts compensator.
