I'm glad you're enjoying the mod! As of for the suggestions, I primarily am keeping this mod to simple stashes around the Commonweatlh. But the suggestions you offered sound somewhat similar to my mod 'Commonwealth Caches', so you may want to check that our if you're still interested in that idea. I may use some of those suggestions for that mod in the future if you don't mind, as I like the idea of having hostile camps with tents.
Sorry for the late reply, life got pretty busy. But as of to how many were added, I'm not entirely certain as I didn't count when adding them. All I know is that there's quite the abundance and they can be found almost anywhere around the map.
Currently all of the stashes respawn in the same amount of time as all vanilla fallout 4 items. Do you mean an optional file where the stashes respawn quicker than vanilla fallout 4 items?
