Sorry for the confusion and re-release. Earlier mod was all-inclusive and after some thought I was concerned this might violate Elianora's terms for releasing patches or updates. Plus I did not want to detract from downloads of her original mod.
So I checked a few things and came up with a better approach.
Elianora does allow patches/improvements for this specific mod to be released I released only the changed files Eli's original mod is STILL required. You will need to download it first. Link is on description page. Please endorse her mod. It is great work. I also had a few users report the loose files can be used by CBBE users, so I included them. If anyone wants to post a guide on how to get this to work with the CBBE version I will sticky it.
Enjoy.
...Oh and thanks to DRAGONJOE69 for suggesting some changes and trying out the loose files with CBBE. Much appreciated.
ATTN CBBE users Here are detailed installation instructions for the latest version First manually download BOTH versions of this mod preferably to your desk top Using 7 zip open both files(no need to extract, were just doing a repack) Delete the PS4 folder from the CBBE loose file Drag the esp file from the main folder and drop it into the CBBE file Close both files and delete the main file(optional) Uninstall the previous version if you are using it. Load the repacked CBBE file into a mod manager and install overwriting were needed. Load and play your game.
When he says drag the esp file from the "main folder" what "main folder" is he talking about? And am I dropping this into the CBBE loose files folder?
I took the esp from the "Eli_Armour_Compendium - MDF Reduced Cell Edits patch" folder and put it into "Eli_Armour_Compendium - MDF PCV Patch - Loose Files for CBBE users".
I can explain another way: download both the main file (Eli_Armour_Compendium - MDF Reduced Cell Edits patch) and the CBBE file (Eli_Armour_Compendium - MDF PCV Patch - Loose Files for CBBE users) from this site with the manual download. The .esp file in the main file is used to overwrite the eli_armour_compendium.esp, which means this mod's main file needs to load after the eli_armour_compendium.esp being corrected. If you use a mod manager like Vortex, simply drag the .esp from the main file into the "drop file(s)" section, install (say yes to create mod), and then add the Meshes and Vis folders from the CBBE file to the newly created Eli's_Armour_Compendium folder in the mod-staging folder: C:\Users\WhoevertheHellYouBeautifulPeopleAre\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\fallout4\mods, the same folder with the new .esp file. You can also right-click on the mod in Vortex and then select "OPen in File Manager."
For those not using a mod manager, I suspect they know how to manipulate their files - too long to explain here.
*NEW* Experimental version of patch using the delete edits method has been posted. Use this with Eli's ORIGINAL mod Main and Texture archives. Just overwrite the ESP. Should not need new precombine and visibility data. Keeps only the things she ADDED to the cell. Removes the deletions/changes to vanilla cell meshes.
The cell will be dirtier per vanilla game, but performance will be fixed without being incompatible with other mods that edit near this location.
As much as I hate to dirty up near her shop, I think of it as the RAIDERS trying to push her out of business by dumping trash on her property. That's why she installed the turrets, and I made them MEANER. :)
* REMEMBER * Use with Eli's ORIGINAL ARCHIVES, not my new PCV archives.
Yay, some insulting disinformation from some random nobody...who could have guessed... Here, have an answer...
No. You're not even close to understanding. But...thank you for NOT asking any questions and instead making completely ignorant and uninformed assumptions about my character or motives, spinning that into a false ad-hominem argument with no basis in fact, and projecting your toxic stupidity into the community. You just validated my loss of interest in sharing my work here.
Additionally, If you actually knew ANYTHING about me, you would know that Eli is part of that community, and I have supported her mods and streams on many occasions. Would I do that if I was some unbalanced insane 'cultist' who only knows 'hate' or 'fear' toward certain communities? No. But people like you can't be bothered with anything resembling facts or due diligence, can you?
On the up-side, at least now we all have a better idea of your character, intellect and maturity level...or more accurately, LACK thereof.
Your description reminded me of running into a mod recently (2023 recent) that cut specific songs from the Freedom Radio expansion mod, and people were harassing the hell out of that mod dev over it as if they were going into those people's computers and forcing the change on them.
Mods are completely optional, and the end user controls what they do or do not want in their game. I'm 100% for that. I am 100% AGAINST thought policing.
hey there , just a big tip o7 found some incompatibility issues with - Previsibines Repair Pack (PRP) if you run them together you will have missing objects and Flickering textures around Diamond City areas
Well anything that edits precombines for the same cells will conflict. If you run into this, I recommend using the Reduced Cell Edits version instead. It basically restores the cell to vanilla, and puts the turrets and door on their own layer. Granted, you lose Eli's cleaned up exterior, but it is WAY less likely to conflict with any other mods that touch this cell.
If you have a save game with any of the cell data saved for Eli's shop and then you change the mod so it changes the cell data you can end up with corruption and crashes. So yes, to be safe, I would start with a new game.
so if i have a clean game... never installed Eli's mod ( just found about Eli's mod today lol ), installing it now with your experimental patch i should have no problems right?
and btw... pin the answer so other people with that same doubt can see it xD
This patch is not compatible with "diamond city outskirts (the hole redux)" which has its own fixed precombines. If I load elis armor compendium and then the hole, it works fine. If i try to have this patch anywhere in my load order at all whether its above or below, all the textures exterior are flickering and interior the armor shop looks like an acid trip of wavy colours. I'll have to give this one a miss. I wonder what my pre-combines are doing in that area now. Kinda surprised the hole isn't causing issues with the armor compendium mod on their own.
Maybe this info will help somebody else EDIT: I see you've already done what you can to combat this by releasing the different file. I had this problem with the PCV one. I wonder if the hole mods precombines have negated the need for any version of your patch
The PCV version would not be compatible. But the experimental version should be. Try it instead. It restores the external cell to vanilla, and only adds things that do not break precombines. So other mods that edit the external cell should not conflict, just load this after them to add the turrets and placed objects.
thank you for this essential patch! the experimental version works for me and i use cbbe. i included your fix in my draw call guide as a good example how modding and changing precombine related cell editing influences game performance!
I don't know if this is a dumb question or not. Why would CBBE users need another version of the mod? This mod only has the data for the cells and shouldn't affect the gear items.
I don't use CBBE so I have no idea if there are any conflicts with Elianora's original CBBE version. I included the loose files in case there is a compatibility issue, so people can repack their own version as needed.
I have no plans to port it. BUT...I do give permission for someone else to port it as long as credit is given to Elianora for the original mod and me for the fix/patch.
Not sure if anyone else experienced this, but after downloading it and installing it, it broke the area around the Boston library and Trinity Tower. The textures kept flickering whenever im staring in that direction. Might be a mod conflict, but I had to uninstall it. Hope there's a fix at some point in the future.
Same here. Buildings near trinity tower turn partially transparent. I tried removing many mods, and it only fixed itself after I'd deleted the CBBE/loose files version of this mod. It may be a conflict with Boston FPS Fix.
Sadly, seems generating precombines and visibility for cells with the CK is not perfect.
I would go with the deletion method and just get rid of all Ellie's cell edits but keep the ADDED door. This maintains mod function without brealing precombines. It is described on her mod page.

Elianora is working on an updated version of her mod that doesn't break precombines. So hopefully, soon, this patch will no longer be needed!
This sounds suspiciously like "Im an alt-right cultist and dont like how Nexus rightfully treats LGBT people as a protected class" lmao

Would removing :
Location and Worldspace entries just leave the levelled lists and item?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Use it with Ellianora's ORIGINAL vanilla body mod. Keep her MAIN and Texture archives. Simply overwrite the ESP.
Enjoy.
You could give it a try and see...
