Because it's tiresome as s*** to watch the same 3D models after you've played the game a billion times since 2015, which just so happens to be my case. And I use a mod that unlocks every single loading screen, both for the regular game and DLC, regardless of quest progress or faction affiliation; I can safely say that I'm sick and tired to death of watching all these 3D models. I never liked this idea to begin with, here and in Skyrim, and some of the models are lousy as hell, like the Marine Wet Suit and that damn dirty old mattress, but basically I prefer static images as seen in Oblivion and FNV.
This mod does work however i believe in boston parts it slows down my load time. I am running a i7-8700k + RTX 2070 so i know its not a hardware thing. I turned this mod off and now it feels like it is loading a bit faster. I am not 100% sure as i run nearly 150-200 active mods at a time. Part of me thinks that it just felt slower due to it being a blank black screen but im 90% sure it is faster in boston areas without it on. This mod basically makes your loading screens just a blank screen with the loading emblem on bottom, if you still move your mouse around as your loading you can hear the 3D object moving around as if it was there.
1) Open FO4Edit 2) Click select none 3) Select only the "mods" With "loading screens" poping up 4) Click each mod (one at a time) and right click "loading sceen" folder 5) click remove then yes 6) Right click "mod" .esp/.esl 7) Click clean master 8) Repeat for each "mod" 9) X out of f04Edit and save
This does work, despite others saying it doesn't. Don't be an idiot. Look at xEdit and see what's overwriting the mod. Then check each of your mods to see if they add loading screen objects (many do). Delete those records, or do what the MA did and null out the specific object. This works great. Thank you.
This does seem to work but maybe you can help me out... I added Cheat Terminal and now have it on my loading screen. I loaded everything up in xEdit but couldn't find the 'loading screen NIF' (I think that's what I'm looking for?) I've tried searching for a solution but this is such a specific problem and it seems all of the tutorials are geared towards cleaning mods. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Just delete the section that says 'Load Screen'. That will get rid of it just fine. It's faster, but will save the ESP you're editing so if you update the mod, you just need to delete the section again.
I made a couple patches for various mods. 1. Install 2. Check if they're missing masters 3. Delete the plugins that are missing masters 4. Run LOOT I won't take any requests. You can look at these for reference. I just made them because the mods were in my load order. This is preferred to the other method I spoke about in the comments here, as modifying the original ESP would be undone should an update surface.

edit: nevermind. Just realized the other one is for CC content as well.
