The only one that works for me! Finally. And regular music plays still while combat is happening, thankfully.

And it doesn't require an esp. Bonus.

Sadly this mod is not working. I downloaded it and installed it properly but the first fight I ran into started playing that horrid, over-the-top music. So i'm uninstalling this and i'll be looking somewhere else.

Holy crap. The majority of the comments here are so confusing and ridiculous. I came here hoping to find some simple comments talking about how the mod performs, if it actually works, and if it works every time you get into combat. Instead it's like everyone is running around like chickens with their head cut off.

I hope this works because I hate that combat music. It's overly triumphant and it turns every tiny encounter into something way over the top.

Edit: this mod DOES work for me! I don't know how it didn't work for the person below me. It took me like 3 seconds to download and install, then I ran the game, entered combat with a bunch of synths and there was no combat music.

Is there a way to make a version of this which plays the combat music ONLY in really dangerous encounters, like when facing a boss or a particularly tough enemy?

For those who don't play with Pilgrim installed, don't like Fallout 4's combat soundtrack and are looking for a more immersive experience, using this mod to remove it entirely is a good option.

Just you and the combat's sounds. Much better than the original soundtrack, in my opinion. I highly recommend it. I have played with this mod for a long time and it works very well.

I'm guessing that currently there is no way to create a mod that force-skips combat music, so that engagements don't trigger a change and the default music keeps playing during battles?

Hey not a mod yet that auto-runs. BUT. Make a txt file in your base Fallout 4 directory. Call it something simple like music.txt.
      Now add: SetGameSetting "fCombatMusicPlayerTargetedThreatRatio" 0.00
Start Fallout 4 like normal, but before playing open console and type:bat music
Now play like normal and enjoy ambient music through out all your battles.

Can you go a little more in depth? Where exactly am I adding those lines and where/how am I adding the "music.txt" file? Thanks a bunch!

Saw this post... realized this would take 2 seconds to create an esp. I won't link it, but you can find it through my name if you want.
