Just as a quick way to make it easier for EVERYONE who had trouble finding the brick. When entering the catacombs underneath the church, follow the left wall until it reaches the first turn to a dead end with a skeleton in a coffin and a stone tablet with the text "George Clark's Tomb" on the wall. Face the tablet and look to the right. Look at the hole in the wall where some bricks have fallen off to expose dirt. The left side of that hole has a metalic "brick", that is your target.
Hopefully no one will ever have to go through some old video or listen to some vague comment saying "oH yEa ItS NeAr tHe RaIlROaD HQ eNtRaNcE".
ECO Redux Armory - HK G11 K2 Kraut Space Magic - ECO Redux - English https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/69085
HK G11 - Unofficial Update https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/68699
As far as I can tell, I have all the right bits to make it happen correctly, any clue what I may have done wrong?
*** Update *** It ends up ECO Redux Armory - HK G11 K2 Kraut Space Magic - ECO Redux - English converts the ammo type (back?) to 5mm. When I disable it the ammo type is 4.7mm. It may just be a load order thing? If I cannot solve it with load order and will just have to not use it.
My Final solution. ECO Redux Armory - HK G11 K2 Kraut Space Magic is the only mod that actually adds the G11 to the ECO weapon creation bench. However, I really like the changes to the G11 in the HK G11 - Unofficial Update. I used FO4Edit on ECO Redux Armory - HK G11 K2 Kraut Space Magic to make the weapon values (like ammo type) match HK G11 - Unofficial Update values. Now I can create the G11 at the ECO weapon bench, but it has proper ammo types. I also used the values from HK G11 - Unofficial Update for the legendary versions. So far it seems to work fine. I have never used FO4Edit like this before, I have only used it to replace weapons, like replacing Harpoon Gun with Railway Rifle, and replace Assault Rifle with M91. That is just a "look here instead of there" thing, much less in depth.
you can modify the mods through fo4edit and just change the ammo types its pretty simple itsyabrandyboy has a video on new calibers explaining how to do it, its all the same process
You've already found out, but yes. The likely culprit is ECO Redux and the G11 Unofficial Update. They both heavily modify the G11, and are likely completely incompatible with each other. You either have to make a patch to change ECO Redux's ammo to 4.7mm Caseless, or just use the unofficial update by itself.
Is there a way to bring up the initial dialogue again and disable damage modifiers? I wanted to take a look at them but it seems like the gun is already powerful enough without them.
I can't get the quest to pop up. I've met the requirements and tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but it still won't pop up. Is there a console command to spawn the weapon? I've tried typing "help g11 4" but I don't see a weapon, only the mods.

My day is ruined and my disappointment is unmeasurable :'(
I'm mostly being facetious, this is a wunderbar mod and you should be proud. This minor detail simply got under my skin and I needed to vent.
I'll get around to it... maybe.

I can even see the in-game advertising: "RobCo Ammo-in-a-can!" or "General Atomics Munitions Slurry!"
Could you port it to Starfield please..? 👉👈
