I haven't been able to get the 1.5 update to work with my mods yet so this is untested. It pretty much follows the same formula I used when I initially created this mod so I'm certain it should work fine. Let me know if there's any issues.
This is an Absolutely Great and LONG SINCE NECESSARY mod. But... I downloaded the mod so the cars I built in my settlement from the "homemakers settlement objects" mod wouldn't blow up my settlers during raids though this mod works for vanilla cars on the map but not for modded settlement cars.. Do you know of any patches for this?
We need an updated version of something like this for ng, anyone, please. There's a new mod out that does the same but for whatever reason they designed it for the few people NOT using ng.
Trying to use this mod with 'indestructable' selected, but the cars still explode in 2 shots like vanilla. Only other mods I have that alter similar things are Durable Vertibirds and Rusty Cars. Would love to figure out what's going wrong so I can stop getting nuked by cars!
Any recommendations on where to set the vanilla durability for destructible vehicles at 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, or 20 times so that they don't blow up with one shot but they are destructible without having to hit them with massive firepower?

it doesnt work for cars placed with homemaker for me tho. dont know if its just me. i tried the indestructable version, cars already in game is fine, just the one i planted that still explode.
I need this. I'm on the edge of my seat every time I'm in my settlement because just a raid would reduce my base to a crater
EDIT: I seem to have figured it out using F4Edit. Disclaimer: I'm not a modder. I don't actually know if this will have any other side-effects, but I don't think it will. I looked at this mod, specifically the Indestructible option, and noticed that the cars didn't have a Destructible tab. I figured it'd be worth a try just deleting the same tab from the Homemaker cars.
1. Open Homemaker.esm in F4Edit 2. Navigate to Homemaker.esm -> Moveable Static 3. You'll find a list of all moveable static there, cars and trucks included. Click on each car, I think you can go four at a time, and delete everything in the Destructible tab. Just select four cars, right-click in the box on the right of the Destructible box and select "Remove from selected records". It'll remove the destructible tab from all four you selected, and you can go ahead and select the next four ones. Make sure to find every vehicle, cars are on the very top of the list, a bit lower you'll find trucks and even lower you'll find some more trucks and also vans. The pre-war van does not explode when shot, so you don't have to touch that one.
Again, I'm a novice with F4Edit. Do this at your own risk and make sure to keep backups of Homemaker.esm and probably your saves as well. I've played a while after doing this, and so far I haven't noticed anything out of order, and I can shoot my Homemaker cars all I want without them exploding.
A benefit is that you can still use this mod, any setting you want, if you'd like regular cars to explode as usual.
omg thank you, vehicles would explode from 1 or two shots it was hella annoying. shoot a vehicles tire once, car explodes. thanks Bethesda for the immersion
Exactly what I Need for my Settlement Building, because I use the vehicles to design the Settlements and so I don't need explosive cars. Will check it out. :-)
