I missed a mod like this so much. The sound fx coming with the gun was so disappointing, it made me stop using it completely. That and its weight, lol.
yeah the reload sounds aren't the best but I'm okay with using them unlike the gunshot. If anyone finds the appropriate sound clips I can def put them in but currently no plans to look for them.
Sadly I could only find Battlefield and Call of Duty sound effects from games, none of which are likely to allow use of their assets even if that would be best.
The only other I could find was this. https://youtu.be/WATu7yLTfNM

I spent some time looking around but I couldn't find a sound clip I had envisioned. The most important part is chambering a round and I want a very heavy sound like an industrial latch or slide and so far I only found payday 2 reload to be the closest. I also just realized the m82 mod doesn't have any custom reload sounds so I'll have to learn how to mod to put in those sound effects o_o
Damn. Videos containing weapon sounds are surprisingly rare. Another I could find is this. Reload is at the end. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYyQ18YYNnw
I can probably use the magazine attach sound at 0:34 but not much else. Finding the right sound is such a hassle so I'm just gonna delay that plan for now
Can't blame you. A real shame though. The gun itself should have an armor penetration legendary effect, but the lack of quality sounds is a bigger issue. Do keep looking if you can, please.
you can just get yourself that with lovetocraft mod or use fo4edit to give yourself whatever penetration values. However, it's not going to be much difference due to the way damage resistance is calculated in fo4 (high damage per shot negates most armor. low dmg per shot like automatic weapons are the only ones that actually benefit from armor penetration). For me I just edited the actual damage values and it feels like a proper .50 caliber.
One other possibility would be asking this guy for sounds, like the GB F2000 one. https://gamebanana.com/members/1306693 The new Anti-Material Rifle mod also has its effects from him, he's listed in the credits.
it seems the main file is corrupted. i tried downloading it twice and both times i tried extracting it it spits out an error saying the file is damaged
AWESOME mod!! I downloaded the quieter version first and loved that sound so much I had to have the loud version. Is it possible you could put that sound on the automatic 50cal Bozar Bullpup. Please please! That would be so awesome.
Ok since you asked nicely I'm not sure if this will work for the automatic version cus I looked through the files and it seems like that mod has a separate group of files for automatic... but it will probably work for the single shots. I don't have the mod so I can't test it but it will probably work lol. Add it thru NMM or whatever then activate.
Thanks, now the 50 cal Bozar sounds like it is supposed to. I can't imagine what it would be like if it would work on an automatic. Thanks again. ENDORSED!!!! KUDOS
I really want this rifle in my game and with this sound mod..it'll be fantastic. The sound reminds me of my favorite .50 cal rifle in Fallout 3. Sounds great. Thanks for the improvement. I'll definitely use this. Also, love your character..nicely done.
As that one guy who sneaks everywhere with a sniper rifle in the game, this is cool as hell xD. Nothing is more satisfying than hearing that sound during a headshot. Good job on this awesome mod!
