Anyone else having the issue of power armors completely dissapearing from stands with this mod? Even before I've met the 20 power armor limit. Any ideas if this is causing it?
I've had the same problem,Whenever I collect some new power armor skeletons, I find that the power armor skeleton is missing on part of the display rack at home
I have been using this mod for a while now [ several months ] and when I first installed it the mod allowed me to collect 20 armor chassis ... But now for some unknown reason I can only collect 14 ... I uninstalled it did a clean in game save spent three days settlement building and then reinstalled the mod and lo and behold I can still only pick up 14 chassis ... this is not a complaint merely an observation all in all this mod is very good ... ENDORSED and Tracked keep up the good work
I don't know if this is relevant but I am currently also experiencing the same issue. I am only able to collect 14 frames. Interestingly, I can no longer collect my older frames either.
For anyone who concerns, two common questions are 1. You need to click at the frame in inventory instead of dropping it. 2. If you store the frame in a container, it still counts it as one and broke the mod (for the max of 20).
Update: Found a solution to fix the mod and recover your Power Armor if you stored it in a container. Be sure to make a save after each step.

Hay I love this mod (been using it forever now). Quick question: If I use a locker to store my unused fram's will that count to the 20 I can have on me?
Nice mod, but wish renaming features was working, sadly given name always reverts back, and not knowing which power armor chassis contains which power armor is very annoying, I always have to place all of them outside and find out...
I have briefly looked at this mod and I can see why people are having problems. They are treating the item in their inventory as power armor and then working with it. IT IS a model which unfortunately looks like a power armor frame if you drop it from your inventory - just to confuse you.
Also you get your real armor back by EQUIPPING that PA frame 'model' in your inventory NOT by dropping it. The mod does not handle you dropping it (I suspect the model has broken physics so acts strangely). For instance you can interact with it when in Workshop mode (and Store it - which will destroy it).
Your 'real' power armor is kept in a hidden room, and when you EQUIP the 'model' in your inventory, that model is removed and the real Power Armor is moved from it's hidden location to in front of you. The 'model' in your inventory is the ONLY Key to that hidden power Armor. If you drop, sell, or loose that 'model' you can NEVER recover your power armor (but it is still in the hidden room so reduces the number of free places left).
There are 20 UNIQUE PA frame 'models' (keys), one for each of the 20 places for PA in that hidden room. Unfortunately they are all named "Power Armor Frame" in your inventory so very confusing.
If you rename the 'model' in your inventory you need to remember it only refers to one of the 20 'places', not what is in that place. So next time you 'collect' your Power Armor it may (will?) go into a different 'place', and the key (model) you get back will be for that new 'place' and thus not have the same 'name' (if any). I suspect that even if your PA goes back into the same slot, the key (model) you get back will have lost the name you gave it anyway. If it keeps the name then that will be even more confusing as you could end up with different PA in that named 'place' so your 'key' returns not the PA you expected.
Think of it as a cloakroom for your PA and you will be given a different 'key' for your 'cloak' each time you deposit your 'cloak'. And only that 'key' will get you 'cloak' returned to you.
Where is the room or container the PA frames are stored in, if you know. As far as I understand, the items are added to the players inventory, but not actually in the inventory, so when the item is placed into a container in the world or let's say sold, that frame still is counted as +1 to the 20 frames gatherable.
All that is in your inventory is a token/key that identifies to this mod which slot in that hidden room to find your actual PA. No actual PA is added to your inventory, just a token that 'looks like' PA but is not usable. Selling/dropping/scrapping that token has no effect on the real PA in that hidden room - except you can't 'collect' it now, and you have one less slot available to store PA. As I am not at my computer I cannot tell you where the hidden room is, but if you use FO4edit you will see a single interior cell defined. If you get it's name (EditorID) you should be able to jump into that cell via the console command "COC cellname".

to see if you have broken pa frame in the room. If you ever placed a frame in a container, that frame will stop working.1. You need to click at the frame in inventory instead of dropping it.
2. If you store the frame in a container, it still counts it as one and broke the mod (for the max of 20).

Does that help?
